Cozy Beach Cottage

Newly refurbished Cottage City Victorian beach house, built in 1870. Walk to beach, walk to town. 2 bedrooms up a narrow flight of stairs, one with a Queen size bed and one with a single (twin XL). 15 minute walk to Jetty beach or Inkwell beach. 10 minute walk to town, the harbor and the campground. Spacious yard in a very quiet neighborhood. Next door to the library.

Regardless of recent updates this is a small cottage from the 19th century and also our home. It was moved from the campground to its current location at the turn of the 20th century. We have tried to retain the unique and historic gingerbread cottage feel of the property. If you are looking for something modern and posh it may not be for you.

There are parking spaces for 2 cars, a small front porch and a deck in back with table and chairs for outdoor dining. There is a gas grill and a spacious front, back and side yards. There is a private outdoor shower. Indoor bathroom has a stand up shower. Gas stove, dishwasher and washer and dryer in the kitchen. There is a dining area, TV, internet and a collection of DVD's. We do not have cable TV. Towels and linens are provided.

Mother/Daughter Weekend
My daughter and I (and my 12 month old granddaughter) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the sweetest cottage in Oak Bluffs. It was PERFECT for our long weekend stay. It was quaint and cozy for sure but certainly had everything we needed. The host was very responsive with all my inquiries.

2nd stay here...will likely be back next year for a 3rd. Close to main shopping/dining area in Oak Bluffs (less than 10 minutes by car). Very convenient to rest of MV. Only con is no microwave or toaster oven, so you need to use the oven to reheat everything. That makes the 1st floor hot. Otherwise, owner host has thought of everything.

My family stay at this cottage was very comfortable. Everything was nice, especially the backyard atmosphere. Walk into town center was easy and all amenities were closeby. Inkwell beach was a short walk. Very much appreciated Jared's hospitality. Thank you!

Love, adventure, rest
Stay at this lovely cabin! I hope all visitors feel the same amount of love, adventure and rest that we did. Although you have neighbors you feel like you're in your own little cocoon. My husband and I made our first trip to Martha's Vineyard for our honeymoon. We are so grateful that this was our home base, it's proximity to the ferry, downtown Oaks Bluff, the Ginger Bread cottages, and bike paths to Edgartown and Tisbury. Our proximity to friendly residents on the island also made this an amazing stay. We've already started discussing our next trip and staying at this cabin again.

Location was perfection
The property owner was excellent on answering all of my requests and questions. The location was away from the hustle and bustle but, a nice walk into town. The back desk was so relaxing. The solar lights for night were so helpful. Great property.

Cute, Cozy and Comfy Cottage
We had a great time at this little cottage. It was just the right size for our small family. Proximity to the library was great and made it easy for Uber to find us. Quick walk to town for restaurants, arcade, ice cream, etc., but isolated enough for quiet at night! The kids scared themselves silly with the “wildlife encounters,” near the outdoor shower.

Awesome place to celebrate my 60th birthday
Everything was there for us. Cute and cozy and clean Shingled cottage, large backyard area with Adirondack chairs of which we sat in under the shade of a magnificent, large tree, two bikes that were great for cruising around, bbq grill was great for grilling summer corn, awesome location just a short straw into town, but away from the loud part of town, BBQ Grill. Owners that had taken attention to a lot of the details, and provided great hospitality.

Wish we could've stayed longer!!
We got in late and it was a little tricky to find the cottage, but when we did we were thrilled to find it so cozy and well cared for!! The cottage is darling and the only thing that wouldn't made our stay better, would have been to stay longer!!

Perfect little cottage!
The house was a nice secluded property away from the busy oak bluffs downtown, but a short bike ride to get there. It had everything we needed, including the little things you dont have space to bring on the ferry with just bikes and a backpack. It was exactly what we needed to "get away".

Perfect Little Getaway !
Clean and charming cottage that inspires a creative spirit and has all you need, nestled in a historic structure and location. Loved being near the action but set back in a private yard with a deck off the kitchen and chairs under an big gorgeous tree. Ability to use the bikes to explore the area was a big plus. The fully appointed kitchen and other various helpful supplies made us feel at home right away. Thank you Jared for a lovely stay.

Cozy cottage close to Oak Bluffs downtown
This cottage is well appointed and in a great location! Unlike many STR's that are stripped to the barebones, this cottage had everything we needed to have a fun week on Martha's Vineyard. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable! The cottage is located 5-10min walk from downtown Oak Bluffs so close enough to enjoy the town but far enough so you don't hear the noise! We would def stay here again!

a great little place
We loved the easy, casual, eclectic feel of this lovely, historic cottage which is very well located within minutes' walk of Oak Bluffs center, gingerbread cottages, Ocean Park and beach. While the place is quite small, the layout is such that we didn't feel cramped. We are tall (5'10" and 6'2") so had to be mindful of the low ceiling at the head of the stairs! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and there are a deck, porch, and large yard that unfortunately we could not fully enjoy due to the untimely appearance of the remnants of a hurricane! But the cottage's cozy feel was just right to ride out the storm. Jared was very responsive to any questions and left a great guide to area restaurants and activities. We're looking forward to going back for a longer stay!

Owners Thought of Everything
The cottage is small, but it accommodated our family of 3 very well! The owners thought of everything! All the beach and recreational items we needed were in the shed; Array of condiments and seasoning in the kitchen; guitar and ukulele to entertain ourselves, dvd’s, books, and board games to pass the time. Cottage is over 100 years old, but is well kept and clean. Tons of outdoor space. Close enough to the Oak Bluffs main strip to walk, otherwise it’s a short drive of less than 5 minutes. Would stay here again. Highly recommend for a small group.

An amazing little cabin in OB
We had a fabulous stay here. The cottage itself is nicely proportioned—there's good living space, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and lots of nice shady outdoor space as well (not to mention an outdoor shower!). There were also lots of thoughtful touches to make staying there just right. And it's a short walk from downtown Oak Bluffs. I hope we get to return next time we're on the Vineyard!

If you are looking for a traditional beach cottage getaway with a true Martha Vineyard's historical vibe then this is the place to be. This house was perfect for my husband and three year old son. Clean Chic Cottage challenging stairs
Loved the decor, cleanliness and thoughtful amenities. Well stocked with towels etc. First floor bathroom, second floor bedroom, narrow staircase with angled ceiling, shallow stairs, if you’re tall or elderly be extra careful. Overall good stay in this location. Would recommend.
