"We had a wonderful time exploring new things to do in South Haven. The unit was absolutely wonderful and perfectly equipped. Everything we needed was right there so next time we will pack much lighter. We love the window in the bathroom looking north down the beach. I n the morning there were several deer grazing and playing along the shoreline. It was a great way to start the day, which we do around 6:30. We had several great meals in town and always enough for left overs in the unit for following days. Even though the wind was out of the NNW and pretty cool we did get several days in the sun and sand which felt great. We found Pilgrim Preserve and had a fantastic hike on the trails. We also bike the trail from South Haven south to the State Park, a great ride and well protected from the wind. Next time we will do a section of the Kal-Haven Trail which had a very nice trail head along the Black River.Over all, this was a 10 out of 10. After 25 years of traveling south for trips, it was much more relaxing and interesting to find a place right here on Lake Michigan. It felt like home the minute we walked in the door. The security locks a fantastic so you don't have to worry about missing keys on the beach.
