Amazing area
Located in Eastham, Massachusetts this beach is so named as it was the location where in 1620 the Pilgrims coming ashore from the Mayflower first encountered the Nauset Indians. This is a great beach for young children. Low tide features tidal pools, soft sand, and lots of hermit crabs, small fish and other aquatic life. High tide arrives with a gentle surf and gradual drop off.
Lovely sunsets on the Cape Cod Bay side of Eastham, while the "ocean" side has the beautiful sunrises. Warm breezes, abundant wildlife, and the smells of the ocean make this a multiple senses experience.
This is the Eastham Windmill in Eastham, MA on Cape Cod. It is the oldest windmill on Cape Cod, built in 1630. Every June there is an art festival held on the green by the windmill.
A nice spot to stop and have a picnic... Open 10-5. Pop in and take a look inside. There is someone there to explain the history.
