"Perfect stay in primrose ! "

"Excellent service, great breakfast, walk to downtown Bar Harbor.. but..i thought i booked a cottage. However we ended up in the 3rd floor (no elevator) of the main house. The trip up to the room with luggage and in general wasn't pleasant. "

My sister and I were filled with gratitude for the warm welcome and care that Gail shared with us along with her wonderfully delicious gourmet breakfasts. "We got to stay here for the Monday evening after re-opening on Saturday 5/25/2025. The renovations are absolutely gorgeous, and staff is friendly! Even though we got in early they were nice enough to accommodate us with an upgrade! I would absolutely go back, food was delicious and everyone was kind. 10/10 would recommend "

"I went by this place 5 years ago on another trip and said to myself cool, I’m staying there the next time. I was not disappointed! The breakfast’s were so unique, delicious and Anna serviced them up hot with a smile. Oh people say it’s too far from town, soooo! You just drive down to the visitor center at Hull’s Cove pay to park, it’s good for a week, and take the Island Explorer bus to downtown or other stops. I definitely will stay at Coach Stop Inn again wonderful experience!"

"This is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion. Andrew was a great host. It has a good location within east walking distance to restaurants, shops and attractions. The breakfasts are delicious. "

"The property is rustic but nice. There is a bathroom with shower on 1st and 2nd floor but the water pressure in the house does not sustain use of both at the same time. The main kitchen refrigerator was not working during our stay. There are minifridges on the 2nd and 3rd floor but it would have been nice to have working main floor fridge."

"Skid proof mat and bar handles for bath and shower are needed as we felt a bit insecure. Also, cups/glasses could be available. TV service was minimal but we didn't stay to watch TV, though a local channel for news could have been nice. "Normally my wife and I are not big bed and breakfast people. However, Harbour Cottage had some of the best reviews in the Acadia National Park area. We gave it a try and we are so glad we did. The Inn Keeper, Arlo, was very helpful with advice on trails. The Owner, Don, was friendly and helpful with tour and restaurant recommendations. The Inn is located on the "quiet side" of the island, which was a blessing for us because we were able to avoid the bustle of Bar Harbor in the mornings and...

"What a charming place!!! We rented 7 of their 12 Cottages and Motel Units and had a wonderful week! They provide everything you'd expect PLUS more like Wood/Lighters and Fire starters - or a propane gas firepit if you prefer. Plenty of outdoor space!! The motel units are JUST as spacious and charming as the stand alone cottages - each is well Appointed and remodeled so nicely! Comfy beds, luxurious bedding and well stocked kitchen - we cooked all week! Location is perfect just between Bar Harbor...

"The cabin was amazing and located close To a light house. Cabin had full amenities including usage of a washer and dryer. We sat out in morning in back area looking at forest. Location was perfect as you were within driving distance from everything but outside the major crowded areas. Hiking trails were great in the area and close to Acadia National Park. Hosts were amazing and gave us great tip on hike nearby that allowed a full 360 view at top as well as suggestions on other things to...

"This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! This is better quality then most hotels for the money with the exception of no running water and outside (clean) bathroom. So, if you see this and you are...
