"Lots to do on site if you don’t want to travel out but it’s located near a lot of public beaches. Sadly I wish they would have informed us of the seasonal ocean bacteria levels affecting being able to swim (beaches Mission beach and south may be closed)"

"Everything was great. If you walk around to the left you hit a beach, if you walk to the right you hit a beach. Stay on resort you got your own private beach. So love that you can do everything right there. The fitness room was pretty small, that was my only con."

"This was the perfect place for us! You are on the bay side,but can walk over to the ocean side. Lots of stuff walking distance. The hotel has tons of activities for the whole family. We will defiantly be back. "

"This is the first time that I have been charged a resort fee and really felt the benefits. Beach bikes, beach toys, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels and concierge to set up and take down beach day. And free shuttle all over Carlsbad! We absolutely loved our stay. Definitely recommend. "

"The resort fee and daily parking fee is a little outrageous. There is no free parking and the only option is valet. There isn’t much in a walkable distance (food or shopping) so a vehicle is a must. There were a a few groups of twentysomethings also staying at the resort during our stay there. One group of girls were screaming on their balcony and when I turned to see what they were yelling about one of the girls flashed me. I had no desire to see a naked young female screaming on their balcony...

"The check in process was the only positive thing about this hotel. We had originally planned to stay here for 5 nights, but after the first night we checked out. I found someone’s shareware hung over the shower, hair in the bathtub, so I assume the bathroom was not cleaned at all after the last quests had been there. One of the beds did not have a sheet fully covering the mattress, which was disgusting to see. I also got woken up around 9:30 or 10:00 PM by people yelling and slamming the...

"Lovely resort less than an hour from san diego. Staff were amazingly friendly and responsive to your every need. Nice pool and hot tub. Size of the 2 bedroom was awesome. A little dated - but great value for the price. We would definetly pick this resort again. Tennis options available to you and close to golf courses. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves "

"BEDS WERE CLEAN AND FINE. TV WORKED. I WOULD NOT LET MY GRANDCHILDREN TAKE A SHOWER IN THE DISCUSTING LOOKING TUB. I HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL YEARS AGO WITH A PLEASANT STAY. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE RETURN OF A NICE FACILITY AS IT ONCE WAS."
