You can hear them slamming in the night while trying to sleep and it's no one's fault, they just automatically slam due to their weight. "For the price it was a decent enough hotel to sleep for the night. Definitely needed some bathroom upgrades, and the free continental breakfast is very limited. Again, not a bad place to stay for the price for one night."

"Hotel that allows smoking says it all"

"Our family has been using American Inn in Branford, CT as a rest stop to visit my wife's mother in New Hampshire. It is a short trip (under 2 hours) to get a head start out of the New York metro area after evening rush hour. All rooms are accessed from the outside right in front of your parking space. They have two queen beds and rooms are always clean... and the price is right 😉 It is perfect for our trip!"

"Staff were fantastic and friendly, shower was awesome and mini k cup coffee maker was addictive."

"It was a good location. Would be nice to have coffee for guest in the morning - no one really likes to make it in the room."

"I insist that the front staff get a raise and bonus for the incredibly wonderful people they are and I'm thankful for their incredible hospitality in ways that only the New Haven Hotel can give!!! I always brag about everything that they do for us with their excellence in the jobs each and everyone does!"

"All in all a good stay, well maintained property and comfortable space. Will plan to stay there again in the future"

"Just Fabulous!!! We had a water view with a balcony. Room had a cozy fireplace and very large bathroom!!"
