Black Spruce restaurant was good but a bit heavy on sauces - (Cod dinner). Hike up partway or all of Gros Morne trail - just 5 miles or so away. Don't miss Discovery Center - excellent geology displays. And Green Point for interest in the Cambrian/Ordovician boundary (for geology nuts like me). Very good kitchen, beds comfy, all one could ask for."
