"When we arrived for my son's 8th birthday (he wanted a vacation where he could see a river AND a mountain) the host showed all three of my children how to catch crawfish in the irrigation canal that runs next to the property. The boys were delighted and spent the rest of our week-long stay hunting for various life forms (bugs, frogs, crabs, etc) in the canal. "This was the most stunning property and run by the most attentive, respectful, welcoming, and warm staff for our stay. We were only here for one night but wished we were here longer. The buses to get to the hotel only stop there a few times a day but this meant the owner knew when guests would arrive and was there to welcome each and everyone of us to the hotel. The moment we jumped off the bus we were greeted and our bags taken inside so himself and his staff could take the most incredible photos of us with the mountain in the background. We were seated in the small sitting area off the reception and given tea or coffee while they checked other guests in so we didn’t have to wait in line. After being checked in they took our bags up to our room for us. We had a beautiful traditional room with the best view. The comfiest room and best sleep of our trip and when we left in the morning and checked out, waiting for our bus, the owner came around once again to take photos one last time and saw us off. While the bus took a while he brought everyone cups of green tea. Could not recommend a hotel more. "
