Newton Dale is part of the route which the North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs through. There is a good circular, and not to difficult hike, from the train station around the valley which gives some spectacular views of the countryside also. Pickering is the main town to catch the train and there are various stops on route too.

"Everything was great other than communication for check in. The link I was sent was broken and the host never responded to phone calls or voice messages or emails to give us the information. We managed to find the actual property by identifying it from photos, we then had to phone around to get the key code as we sat outside the property. This needs to be improved "

"Fantastic accommodation that provides everything you need for a girls weekend away. Beautifully furnished (Hamptons feel) with perfect entertaining space inside and out. Hot tub was a great addition to use day and evening. Lots of comfy seating to relax on for the 6 of us. Surrounding area is beautiful to visit and for walks. Would highly recommend. We had a wonderful weekend."

"An amazing property. Clean, spacious and provided everything needed for our stay. A lovely welcome basket with crisps, coffee and biscuits for us with milk and chilled water in the fridge. Also, some biscuit treats for our dog who enjoyed the freedom of exploring the enclosed deck. Comfortable beds and accommodation. My partner enjoyed the PS4 whilst I relaxed with a book. "10/10 Great postion for beach / city centre. Marvellous friendly ,helpful staff, good quality breakfast/evening meals , comfortable bed/pillows, fluffy towels, good selection of drinks in the bar, comfy seating in bar , fab Edwardian hotel with a must see staircase and thick plush carpets. I used multi story car park across the road Friday night to Sunday noon £21. I would certainly go back to the Royal hotel. "

Nice hotel

"Enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Rooms were good although maybe a little tired, but comfortable. Good cooked breakfast to send us on our way. For the price, well worth the visit. I've stayed at much worse that cost a lot more!"
