Welcoming up to 16 people, it sits just 4 miles from the popular surfing destination of Newquay, with the world-renowned Fistral Beach just 5.5 miles away. Other wonderful beaches within easy reach include Porth (4 miles), Crantock (6 miles), and Holywell (8 miles). For serious foodies, a trip to Padstow (15 miles) is a must; it is home to some of Cornwall’s top restaurants, including Rick Stein’s flagship seafood venue. The top chef has links to this holiday property, having filmed there for his BBC series Rick Stein’s Cornwall in 2021. For shopping and culture, head to Truro (10 miles), where you can browse independent shops or catch a show at the Hall for Cornwall. Other local gems include the National Trust’s Elizabethan manor house Trerice (1.5 miles), and the world-famous Eden Project, 19 miles away.


Step inside to discover a welcoming world of comfort, character, and timeless charm. The entrance hall flows through to the main hall, where you’ll find a magnificent, sweeping central staircase. Leading off from the hall are the sitting room and library, both with charming open fires. The cosy library features a Smart TV, while the sitting room has an array of comfortable furniture and a piano. If you need to catch up on work while you’re away, the study is the ideal, private and quiet space. A grand dining room makes the perfect location for memorable evening meals, perhaps celebrating a special occasion, and for more informal breakfasts and lunches, the well-equipped kitchen with central island features a farmhouse-style table and chairs. For the ultimate treat, in-house catering is available. Covering all the practical elements of a self-catering stay, there’s a laundry room and a larder with walk-in fridge. Suitably fitting for a house this grand, there is also a traditional butler’s pantry adjacent to the dining room. Upstairs, there are eight beautifully appointed bedrooms: two super-king-size, one king-size, one double, two twins, and two bunk rooms.
