"Main building, lovely and as expected, however when checking in, they moved us to a room at the rear, quite modern and average at best"

"The hotel looked very posh and impressive from the outside, and that was probably the only part I genuinely liked. Unfortunately, once inside, it felt about 30 years behind modern standards. The room was clean, but honestly, the average person probably has a better bedroom and bathroom at home than what was being offered here. I also paid extra for a room with a king-size bed, but it was the smallest “king” bed I’ve ever seen, which was really disappointing. The bath was ridiculously small too — I could barely even stand in it properly, and I’m a fit, average-sized person, so that was pretty pathetic. On top of that, the TV looked like something from the 1950s, which just added to how outdated the whole place felt. Overall, it was a big disappointment and nowhere near worth the extra money."

"Asking for for Q bed and get 2 single - no chance of change, as you were full.. or didnt he care!! And then Taxi ordering with no name or room and 30 min late, so why not ask us to use the Uber app, if the ordering is so in-efficient. Burger and Beer and servants in restaurant was top class.. Fine room all in all ."

"The staff were great. The rooms are clean and easily accessible. The security was a plus. The only thing that was an issue was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. Appart from that I enjoyed, I would recommend and stay again considering the cost."

"Definitely book a room in the old part if possible. The new wing is beautiful and clean....but it takes about 10 minutes from check in to find your room...but you'll need a map! Gorgeous grounds, food was delicious. Will visit again."
