Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was spacious with a great walk in shower. We were disappointed with the evening menu as there was limited choice unless you wanted pizza or a burger so we ate elsewhere."

"Cheapest place to stay in Oxford, I only really needed a hotel to get ready in and sleep. The initial room they tried to give us was in a different building, and it was literally just a bedroom in someone’s grotty house - stank of smoke and not safe! Do not book the room with the shared bathroom. The room we moved to was acceptable given the cost (albeit incredibly dated and dirty), but that is about it."

The procedure for accessing the building and the room (once you are present on the site of the hotel) was clear. Two small suggestions: (1) stop relying on the app to verify identity, as not everyone has a phone that it works on. (2) if you tell guests the kitchen has coffee making facilities etc., make sure the kitchen...

"Everything about our trip was lovely. Except the room we were given. Our room 17 located at the back of the building above the kitchen. The noise of the air con units from the kitchen started work about 4am. There was no air con in the room and it was extremely warm in there. We couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. Phylis Court is a lovely place to stay if you don’t have this type of room. The service is above and beyond the location is delightful and so near the town "

It's important to note that in our experience there was nearly no service: when we were there we did not meet a single staff member. But for us this was fine. "I thought the accommodation was very good I have found that organising accommodation on line that there is no phone number to call as I had mediocrity me that needed a small fridge to put it in But as in both off my bookings they did put my medication in there own fridge and froze my ice bricks I had with me The only susjestion I can make that they should state if there is a fridge in the room or not because I just expected there would be one The breakfast in Oxford was good but...

"Location was great and right in the centre of Newbury. Apartment was equipped with everything needed for a stay away from home. The room was uncomfortably hot and the small amount the windows opened and fan were no use. Our shower was totally blocked but it was sorted. Cleanliness of the apartment was not to my standard. "

"If located at the front of the building, there’s a lot of noise and light from the street and at all hours. You’ll need to bring earplugs and eye mask! Also, be aware that the hot water cylinder only heats overnight, so not unusual to have no hot water in the evenings! Building could do with refurbishment."
