"The front desk ladies were so welcoming and inviting to us! We told them it was our 34th anniversary, and they surprised us by upgrading our room to one facing the park. The view was beautiful! We absolutely loved the room. It was decorated in the era of the hotel when it was originally built, which gave it so much charm and character. We really enjoyed the history and atmosphere. The breakfast was great, parking was easy, and the hotel is conveniently located near coffee shops, restaurants, and parks. We had such a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!"

"Very clean and comfortable stay. Front desk woman was very helpful and kind. Only complaint was body soap in the shower was empty when we went to shower late evening so had to use the hand soap and the pillows had no support. But overall really liked the cleanliness and staff."

"It was nice and everyone was friendly.The beds were comfortable. The hotel was hard to access due to it being in a construction zone. But other than that it was a good stay. The food was also good. I would stay here again"

"Spacious and clean home with attentive hosts. The semi-open floor concept flows from kitchen to sitting area, giving the ability to socialize or keep an eye on kiddos or pets from almost anywhere downstairs.The home is well lit - lots of tasteful lighting fixtures and ceiling fans! And the light switches are labeled!Both bathrooms are spacious. The large downstairs walk-in shower has great water pressure and a tiled built in bench. We did not use the upstairs tub/shower combo, but the pressure seemed fine in the sink and toilet. The nice sized bedrooms are quite comfortable. All three are upstairs. The kitchen is great - new appliances and a huge refrigerator. Love the deep wide stainless steel sink and the built in griddle on the gas stove. Some things to keep in mind: Just as the hosts indicate in the description, the house does have stairs to get into the house and to get to the bedrooms. There is a sturdy handrail for the inside stairs. A handrail outside would be useful. If the front porch could be used as an entrance, the entire first floor could be rollator or walker friendly (if the walker has tennis balls). The person would need to sleep on a futon or the couch, but doable - especially knowing how scarce such pet friendly lodging is.. I definitely would have figured out a way to get my mom who had mobility issues in and out if she had been with us."
