Beautiful, clean, great location, hot tub, fire pit, grill, large porches and excellent WIFI!
A tastefully decorated new Swedish-inspired build with 16 foot high ceilings, an open floor plan, large covered porches, fire pit and a private new hot tub. Inside find a beautiful living space consisting of locally-sourced oak and knotty pine walls, hickory flooring, cherry cabinets and lots of windows overlooking a vast forest. Enjoy colorful sunrises and sunsets from this hill top cabin that overlooks 91 acres of private woods.
There is fabulous hiking on our property's trails (find fairies in our whirly twirly fairy trail, get lost in the maze of confusion and hike the settler's grave yard). This property is adjacent to Waterloo Wildlife Area (2300 acres) and Zaleski State forest surrounds it. Explore the area (Lake Hope's Old Hollow Cave and Pioneer Cemetery trail is amazing). This property is in a great location between to a hip college town (Athens) and amazing Hocking Hills region.

Always a great stay!
Love coming here. Third year in a row that my wife and I have stayed at this cabin. I rated this a 5/5 overall, even though there was a scheduling issue with cleaning, but communication with the manager was great and everything was taken care of in a timely manner. Absolutely no complaints! We will most definitely be staying here again. Love the location!

Peace, beauty, comfort!
The moment we walked into the cabin we were drawn to the warmth - couldn't wait to spend time on the amazing deck! We have stayed in many cabins throughout the country - this one of the best - windows bathe you in forest scenery, hot tub and beds comfy, kitchen with everything you need for a wonderful meal. This cabin in on a beautiful country road, but not too far from activities and Ohio University in Athens - Go for it - you won't be sorry - for sure. Thanks to the hosts - good communication and welcomed our dog. Perfect!

Great secluded stay!
This was the first time our pup traveled with us, and this cabin was perfect! Plenty of space for him to run around outside. So quiet and refreshing to be out on the back porch or sitting by the fire pit! The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and Lauren was very communicative. The cabin was overall very clean!

The property has every comfort of home while being secluded. The beds and furniture are comfortable. The Porch and trails are great. We enjoyed the Waterloo Nature Area which is right across the road. The owners are responsive and great to work with, This is our second time staying here while visiting our son at Ohio University and we will be back.

Great Cabin
we really enjoyed our stay in the spacious and private cabin! The cabin had plenty of space and bed was comfortable. Nice decor along with large back porch and firepit. Me, my husband and pup enjoyed the trails one afternoon and just relaxed on the deck most of the trip. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The only thing that was missing oddly was a spatula to flip eggs:) I couldn't find one anywhere. If you take a right on 56 for a few miles you while come upon a Lake (I think Lake Hope) and it's beautiful! Good place to take a lunch and enjoy the view. Other than that we just enjoyed the cabin for 3 days. The place was very peaceful although it's right off the road which is a quiet country road, you feel like you are the only ones around especially in the back of the cabin. Thanks for sharing your beautiful and affordable cabin!

Relaxing stay
At first we were nervous because when pulling up to the property it almost appeared neglected. The gutters were full and the front yard wasn’t very well maintained but when we got inside it was nice and clean. In the master bedroom on either side of the bed there are nice trees with white Christmas lights giving a nice glow but one of the trees was burnt out. On the back deck there are what the host calls party lights but over half of them were burnt out.this place could be absolutely beautiful with just a little more effort from the host.

We had a great time. Cabin was very clean and spacious. It is well equipped, nice grill and fire pit. The hot tub was wonderful! It was very private and our dog had a wonderful time hiking on the trail right behind the cabin.

This was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway with my husband. The place was super cozy and kitchen was very well stocked! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the large back porch overlooking the woods, it was so peaceful. Lauren was the perfect host. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property in a beautiful area
This is our 2nd time at this property and it won’t be the last. Everything was clean, all of the furniture is very comfortable, and the back porch has plenty of room for relaxing and hanging out with friends. Property is a short (and fun!) drive to Athens as well.

A lovely getaway
We had a wonderful time. The property is very clean and there is plenty of open space to wander around. We were able to hike through the fairy forest and loved it! (Side note - cardiac hill is aptly named!) The house is close to Ash Cave and Old Man’s Cave (under 30 minutes to each). We loved the back porch in the mornings - it is the perfect place to drink tea and listen to the birds. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect cabin getaway!
A cozy retreat in the woods that was a perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Close enough to small towns and Hocking Hills for things to do, but remote enough to feel private and enjoy quiet evenings under the stars. My fiance and I stayed here over the long weekend to attend the Southern Ohio Forest Rally. The cabin was perfectly located for quick trips into McArthur to watch the races. I enjoyed the spacious patio to do some writing while my fiance enjoyed the nearby mountain biking trails. The modern amenities of this property were clean, luxurious, and really felt like that "glamping" experience. The hot tub was an incredible addition. My only regret was that our stay wasn't longer! We would both highly recommend this cabin and would love to come back some day.

A Wonderful Cabin
What a beautiful cabin perfectly located in the woods surrounded by nature! The open floor plan and tall ceilings with multiple windows allowed us to take it all in. Many birds to listen to out on the deck while rocking in the chair. The jacuzzi and fireplace were a nice added touch. A few minute drive on some winding country roads took us to Hocking Hills and other beautiful landscapes. Fantastic!
