"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in suggesting local activities. Space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. "
