"Older hotel that should be updated but due to location only place to stay in county. The toilet and sink seems to be very low, almost like it was not built to spec. heights"

"The Lily Pad is a beautiful apartment in a great location! It was so fun to wake up and get doughnuts on Saturday morning, then go shopping in the afternoon. Lux Lily is below the apartment and they created beautiful flower arrangements for us. Also, a family favorite, LaJanitas Mexican restaurant, was just a few steps away. Erin was very responsive and has thought of everything one would need for a family friendly and comfortable stay. We plan to stay at the Lily Pad again!"

"Its a long drive 14hrs for me and my family to go up there for a love ones funeral service. Arrived an hour earlier than check in time. Message the host if its possible for us to check in an hour early because the little ones ages 7months old, 3yrs old and 12yrs old are getting uncomfortable fussy. The host reply in less than a minute and okay it. One thing I loved about it is it has game room all can enjoy. And the location is so close to the convenience places. Spacious. Love the setting of where the rooms are. You can relax and take short nap in the rooms and not bother by the sounds of others in the living room and game room watching movie. I just love everything about it. Its a really family and kids friendly place."

"At budget place I have low expectations, BUT card reader didn’t work. My card info was written down. When I asked about it, she flashed the previous person’s card info to make me feel more assured-it made me feel worse that my card info was not safe. The bed had dirty sheets-appeared to have semen on them. Not just stained. Sure after asking, I was given clean ones, but…..no apologies or anything. In the morning I was asked about my stay. I gave feedback and he just said he would speak to housekeeping. That made everything else MORE upsetting. FREE complimentary breakfast was coffee and stale cookies. This forced me to grab food elsewhere. No shampoo, only conditioner. Mold on shower curtain. Stained chairs, pillow and mattress cover. Older, facilities-most things no big deal because you definitely get what you pay for, but unsanitary semen sheets along with that response was discustingly disturbing as this was normal business. "

"Our stay at this cottage was very convenient to Storm Lake and it was clean. The host was accessible if we would have needed her. I would recommend this place if you just want to spend some time alone or if you have some busy lake days and just want to go back to your place and enjoy peace and quiet!"

"Probably the first guest of the season. We checked in on a 40 mph windy day. The clerk did go out of her way to find us a room with a working TV. 3rd try. Ice machine was MIA and the hotel coffee machine was a challenge to figure. Water was hot, The smoke alarm was doing the spring robin chirp. Staying in this hotel was an Indiana Jones adventure. "
