Very rustic cabin in the middle of the woods, which is a great experience. Very relaxing around fire in the evenings. Little tricky to find it the first time as Google maps wanted us to take an ATV trail but we found it! Had a great time with family

This remote destination does not disappoint. Property manager is on point and attentive. If you need anything or have questions you’re in good hands.
Great atmosphere for those that want to detach completely. 10/10

Everything is as described in the listing and we had no issues at all. The property owner is easy to get a hold of for any questions as they arise. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed the 4th of July weekend and had an absolute blast. Our group of 10 had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the sauna, firepit, beautiful views and the well equipped kitchen. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing summer getaway. I’d definitely stay again in a heartbeat

Our stay was brief but I wish it could have been longer. The home was exactly as described. The ride in was an adventure! The atmosphere of the property was perfectly peaceful. My kids told me when we were leaving that all other vacation homes will be measured against this one!

I stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge with my family and friends. The cabin was great. Very clean and well appointed. The property was beautiful! All of us in my group (6 adults and 6 kids) loved the Lazy Bear Lodge and had a great time. We would love to come back. Marty was a great host. Thank you, Marty, for your hospitality!

The property looks just like the pictures. It was beautiful, secluded and quiet. We had 4 families with kids and adults and we enjoyed the property and the amenities. We were a little nervous driving out because it’s very remote. But once we got there the property was just as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time at the Lazy Bear Lodge. The property was spacious, clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. Marty was very responsive with any questions we had. Part of its secluded charm, though, is that it is not easy to get to for city slickers like us—15 miles of unpaved roads made it a trek to go into town. Perfect place to hang out with family and friends and get away from civilization for a bit!

It's a great get away, lovely scenery, with total privacy. Only problem we had were the ticks, which are gonna be a problem anywhere in the region, just be aware and check yourself for them occasionally and you're golden. Overall fantastic time, I would recommend to any lover of the outdoors!

This Lazy Bear Resort is truly a private, remote location. Once you make the long trip down the windy road you will embark on a log cabin in the woods. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and well described in its listing. We wish the lake was a little more accessible, but other than this no complaints.

Wonderful off the grid snowmobiling paradise. We had an amazing time for our annual father son snowmobile trip. The cabin was clean with all the comforts of home. The sauna was great after a full day on the trails. Marty is a great host. I highly recommend his cabin. Four wheel drive vehicles are needed in the winter.

The group and I were looking for a remote place that could house a large group. This place was ideal. Surrounded by nature but had all the amenities we needed. Marty (housing manager) was awesome to work with and available for anything we needed. He even accepted a package I needed delivered. Great home and great people.

This listing was perfect for our group friend trip: large, beautiful cabin and property, annex with additional lodging, sauna, private pond with canoe, all the comforts of home within the cabin. It's isolation was preferred for our noisy group, but beware that it's a good 40 minute drive off the main highway. Ken and his property manager were easily available and kept in touch to make sure we enjoyed our stay, offering ideas of attractions, hikes, and ways to enjoy the property to the fullest. Our whole group was beyond pleased with our stay and the very gracious and friendly host and property manager, and we hope to come back soon in the future! Can't recommend highly enough.

Came here with the family for a relaxing time in nature. We loved it! The house, annex, sauna, and grounds are all beautifully done and well maintained. It's remote, which is what we wanted, but this place is so well though out that it doesn't even feel like "off the grid". Our whole family agreed that Marty and Carol were the best hosts we've experienced - very communicative and helpful! We're glad we got to meet them upon arrival, as we could tell they're just good people. We would definitely love to visit again someday and will for sure recommend this to anyone planning a trip to the western U.P.

The house/property was beautiful & we loved how it was completely self-sustaining. We had plenty of pretty comfy beds, but was a little scary to have to walk outside to use the toilet in the sauna bldg if sleeping in the annex.
We loved how fully stocked the firewood & that there were tons of games!
Our biggest negative would have to be the miles of bumpy dirt roads, as 2 of our cars needed wheel & tire repairs.
The owner, Marty was great & even led us to the house on checkin day.
