"Not sure how this hotel has rigged the algorithms but they are masters! Expedia rates it one of the best hotels in Rome. Our room, which normally sells for an average of Euro 180 was 450 the nights we stayed . They clearly have a firm lock on surge pricing and more power to them. If we had paid the average nightly rate rather than the jacked up one, I might have been more forgiving of its shortcomings. "We were very satisfied with our stay at this beautiful hotel. The room was clean and well laid out. The only thing I would change was the toilet needs to go where the bidet is as its a tight fit. The location was convenient, fairly priced, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious offering several options. Highly recommend! "

We bought three nights however they gave us a old room in a different floor, which apparently, was part of a different hotel called “NAVONOTEL, MIGDAL PALACE”. The room had no TV, no internet conection (in spite of the hotel’s explicit offer, that we paid for).We had to got as far as to sit in the stairs of the third floor in the middle of the night to get internet from the other floor's Wi-Fi. "My husband and I stayed at Relais Maddalena and we absolutely adored our time there. Monica was incredibly helpful pointing out several restaurants and attractions in the area. All of her recommendations were amazing, take her advice on restaurants especially. All of the major attractions in central Rome were about a 20 minute walk or less. We could see the Pantheon from our window. The area felt safe and welcoming. The room was large and clean with charming decor that added the right level of modernity without losing all of the charm of the building."
