Villa Raffaela - Stately home, independent, quiet, sunny, ideal for a relaxing holiday

Villa Raffaela offers the opportunity to stay in comfortable dependance surrounded by a lush garden filled with palms, rare plants and vases filled with flowers. The dependence of about 100 mq spread over two floors: the ground propane is used as a living area with large living overlooking the garden, kitchen with balcony, bathroom, small laundry room; on upper floor with a pitched roof, is used as a sleeping area with two bedrooms, one with a balcony overlooking the garden, bathroom, shower area. You can enjoy the garden that has a grape arbor and equipped with chairs, tables, chairs, making it the ideal place for relaxation and leisure. Not far from the city of Napoli and the archaeological sites of Herculaneum, Pompei and Stabia, the Villa is an ideal place to spend a pleasant holiday base from which to explore places of great cultural and natural interest such as the Royal Palace of Portici with its magnificent park, the Vesuvian Villas, where in summer they organize shows, concerts and cultural events, natural Park of Vesuvius, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Also boat trips allow you to visit the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida".

Peaceful location

Beautiful Villa

The property was beautiful with stunning gardens. Sonia our host spoke very little english but,we managed good communcations. The villa was spacious with a beautiful 2nd floor terrace were you could see Naples. We were there when Pope Francis passed away. There were continuous fireworks and celebrations all around us. This villa was very close to Pompeii and Herculano. Great central location. hetculano

Mooie ruime woning met veel privacy!!!!!

Vriendelijke eigenaresse die alleen Italiaans spreekt. Adres van de woning is Via Farina 41 , Ercolano!!!!!!!!! Inchecken ging moezaam omdat de eigenaresse ons had medegedeeld dat het adres van de woning Via Farina 2 was!!! Hetgeen niet correct is!!!!

Une hôte merveilleuse

La maison était impeccable. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la terrasse pour l’apéro et les repas en rentrant de nos journées. Sonia est une hôte exceptionnelle et très serviable. Elle nous a organisé, à notre arrivée,un transport en taxi de la gare de Naples à la location. Le chauffeur Cero fut disponible pour nous tout au long de notre séjour

Beautiful garden house

Lovely little house in the midst of a tranquil garden. Sonia our host was super helpful and friendly and provided us with additional adaptors when our standard EU ones wouldn't fit. The location is very calm and peaceful and the town with bars and restaurants is only around a 10 minute walk away. Very easy access to Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum and there is a large Deco supermarket around 5 mins drive up the hill. Overall a great location and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing beautiful home

We loved this part of our trip. The hostess made us feel at home on her family estate. We marveled at the garden, terrace and patio areas and the amount of space( a very large living area, bedrooms and bathrooms. It was convenient for visiting Herculaneum or Pompeii.

Beautiful property

Sonia was a wonderful host. The property and garden is beautiful. We stayed in the separate house with the balcony. The house was neat and clean and more than enough room. She was very helpful with telling us where we could shop for groceries and local restaurants. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay at Villa Rafaela!

Lovely building all to ourselves in Ercolano

Lodging is in a second building behind the main residence with patios all around and wonderful places to enjoy the outdoors. The beds are upstairs while there are 2 bathrooms both with showers - one upstairs and one down. The kitchen was well stocked and even supplied with coffee for the morning and a starter kit of breakfast. The Circumvesuviana train station was a 15 minute walk, not difficult, connecting us to everything we wanted. We were able to go to Paestum one day even (for Greek ruin variety from the Roman ruins in Pompeii and Herculaneum). Sonya shared the contact of her friend a taxi driver who took us places as well - he was great! Though neither Sonya nor her friend spoke much English, we used WhatsApp and translation apps to help us through. Our only potential difficulty was that the taxi drivers from Naples had a REALLY hard time locating the address. We had 2 different ones get lost coming from Naples. I found the VRBO directions most accurate, though the drivers really wanted to doubt them! But the place to stay was comfortable and adequate. We used the washer for one load but it leaked on the second load - but Sonya got it fixed while we were gone during the day (after asking if she could come in). The clothes were pretty slow to dry though so between how long the tiny washers in Italy take to wash and drying everything on a rack, we weren't able to get much laundry done there. We ended up going to the laundromat. Would recommend this place to others!

Wonderful Property

An oasis

I did not put the address in correctly for my first night arrival and thought it was another location. This is very important, and PLEASE arrive during daylight hours! The property is GORGEOUS, the guest house (this listing) is wonderful. My ONLY complaint, and it wasn't a problem for me at all because I am 5' 4" tall (162.5 cm), is the top floor (bedrooms and one of the bathrooms) is the roof and the ceiling slants down significantly. You will hit your head at the sides of the house if you're not paying attention. A 6" tall person may have a little issue. But, overall, the gardens are gorgeous, the main house (the owner's home) is BEAUTIFUL. The property is secure (gated) and it's really lovely. We drove everywhere so I can't report about getting around via public transportation at all. The host was very communicative via VRBO message or better yet, texting via whatsapp. Highly recommend. (Shower's great -- good pressure and good heat.)

Jolie maison dans une grande propriété

Location proche de Naples accessible en 15 mn de train et 15 mn de marche pour atteindre la gare (sinon parking pour voiture juste à côté). maison spacieuse entourée d'un très beau jardin (on peut y garer sa voiture). Très bon accueil de Sonia, disponible et accueillante.

Après avoir visité plusieurs villes de l'Italie, nous sommes arrivé à la magnifique Villa Rafaella! Pour un séjour tranquille à l'abri des foules, un superbe moment pour recharger nos batteries. Un site magnifique, une superbe énergie entoure ce lieu, notre maison était parfaite et ultra propre, confortable et spacieuse à souhait pour notre famille de 4! Super vacances

Très bon séjour dans une maison au calme avec un très beau jardin.Sonia est une hôte disponible et charmante. Nous avons fait tous les sites autour de Naples et Naples sans voiture en prenant le train Qui se trouve à 15mn de la location et le métro dans Naples. Nous recommandons cette location.

Aan de rand de stad ligt deze accommodatie. Het is een goede locatie om de omgeving te verkennen. De faciliteiten in de woning zijn wat gedateerd, maar voldoen wel.

Beautiful and Peaceful Stay

The place is exactly what we expected from the listing. The apartment is located in midst of a beautiful garden and in a gated space close to the main house. It is very spacious and very well equipped. There are 3 outdoor eating areas in this apartment which is a wonderful way to enjoy Sonia's flowers and unique garden treasures. Great proximity by car to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Sonia is a wonderful host and is very knowledgeable on the history of the area. Would definitely book this place again! Thank you Sonia, it was very nice to get to know you and your mom.

Rust in het groen.

Een prettig zeer ruim huis gesitueerd in een zeer grote tuin , grandeur, met de grote villa alwaar je tegen aan kijkt aan de voorkant van het huis. Het terras boven, grenzend aan de slaapkamer met uitzicht op Napels en de Vesuvius is heerlijk. We hadden wel problemen met muggen maar daar doe je niet veel aan? Sonia is een lieverd en zorgt voor taxi’s, extra tafels en stoelen buiten, extra verblijftijd op de laatste dag in ons geval…. Neem vooral t openbaar vervoer, heel goed te doen. Pompei, Napels , Sorrento , Herculeum. We zijn ook 2 dagen op het eiland Procida geweest, aanrader. Maar weer heerlijk om terug te komen in het huis in t groen.
