--PEPPERS COTTAGE--is located at Mile post 17.5 on the Beach Road. It is part of Laughing Gull Cottages, an Ocean Front community.

Peppers is a cozy cottage for 2 people that is located on the ocean side. Only about a 150 feet to the beach.

This cottage may look rustic on the outside but it is just right for a romantic getaway!
Pepper's has a queen bed and one full bathroom. There is an outside shower also.
The kitchen is fully equipped so dinner is a snap! We have updated the kitchen and added a dishwasher. We even have an air fryer and a crock pot.

The living area includes comfortable furnishings, SMART TV with DVD player and free WI-Fi Internet access.

The deck is spacious. Also provided is a deck furniture, a charcoal grill, and clothes line.

Did you know? When Peppers was first built, Dr. Forbes rented it to a Catholic Cardinal.
He liked it so much that before he left, he blessed the cottage.
It has been our most popular couples cottage ever since!

We previously stayed at the cottage and the entire kitchen was redone. We arrived a little earlier than checkin time and reached out to the property manager who sent over the cleaners so that we could start our vacation early. Once again, a great place to stay and we will definitely return.

My husband and I rented peppers with our two dogs for 2 nights and it was great. Perfect location, ease of check in/out, and friendly staff. We wish check out was a bit later than 10am since it was offseason, but we look forward to returning soon!

Drove down to buy fresh fish to bring back home. This place was cheaper than a hotel room. Cleanest place we have ever stayed. Has everything you need. Location was perfect. Beach is a short walk. Would stay again.

My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend with our two dogs and came across this cottage! It was just the perfect size for us. It had such a cozy feel to it! It was close to the beach which was also great! We are planning another trip soon and hope that it is available!

Peppers cottage was exactly what I was looking for: cozy, affordable & close to the beach! Had nice amenities, and everything was clean and tidy. Came during the off-season, and it was pleasantly quiet. Got a ton of reading done! A great place to hideaway for a few days, should one be so inclined. Would absolutely stay again!

Peppers is the perfect place for a long weekend. My wife and I enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. Each morning I spent surf fishing while she relaxed on the beach. The fenced in porch was great and let our Maltese enjoy relaxing afternoons with us. You cannot go wrong if you pick this little slice of heaven

Pepper's #8 was fantastic and a perfect fit for my wife and I's 10 year anniversary. The size is perfect for two people wanting a place to stay with the intention of enjoying themselves out and about. The cost was incredibly reasonable and the interactions with the management team was very pleasant. Will most likely look at staying here again and potentially some of the other houses on the same lot. Let me add the charcoal grill was a great touch to help us cook several afternoons and nights as opposed to going out to eat each day.

My partner and I knew we were looking for a bit of a unicorn in the outer banks: a cottage that’s close to the beach (no highway crossing required), with our own outdoor space and grill, full kitchen, dog friendly, and a small enough place that we weren’t paying for rooms we weren’t using (hard in an area with so many 10+ bedroom houses!). This place fit the bill perfectly, just a short walk to the beach, clean, and with a great little deck where we grilled every evening. It also has a surprisingly comfy couch for evening lounging! M We loved our stay there. The only thing I’d mention is a lot of the communication goes through the rental company and not VRBO (they ask you to sign a short-term lease), and the early check-out at 10 am, but otherwise perfect!

I stumbled upon peppers cottage while looking for a nice place to stay for our visit to the OBX. This little cottage was perfect for us!!! The inside is beautiful, the bed is comfy and the bathroom is big enough. It’s was wonderful for my wife and I. We don’t require a lot and like things to be simple. I loved that the kitchen for fully equipped and looked great!! We truly loved “peppers” and would love to return in the future. Email and telephone communications where good as well. We Loved peppers cottage. It was nice to be on the ocean side of the street with easy private access to the beach. The cottage had everything we needed for the two weeks we were there. The only disappointment was the outdoor shower as it is not enclosed and is located on the front porch. The outdoor cushions on the wicker chairs should be updated as well. Service by the rental company was easy and forthcoming . This is a perfect place for a couple that has no need for one of the giant houses on the beach. We had a very restful 2 weeks here.
