Nagoya Kanko Hotel
4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (1000)
"Amazing stay. Room was impeccable and well appointed. Hotel staff were polite and professional. Club lounge was spacious and had a good view. Food was slightly on the led down with smaller portions and not much variety during the evening. Staff were helpful and I do understand that the majority of their clientele are domestic, it would help if the lounge staff were a little more fluent in English. None the less , they did try their best to assist and were always full of smiles. "

"Hotel surpassed all expectations. Outstanding hotel staff. They are exceptionally courteous & all spoke English when they saw that we didn’t understand Japanese. The breakfast buffet is worth it. We bought it at the time of reservation and saved some $ if you have 2 people or more. Also, the amenities are great. The gym had a full set up to include dumbbells, treadmills, rower, even a Smith machine and a lot of other machines. I’ve seen private membership gyms with less equipment. They also have...

"A nice hotel that’s only a 7 minute walk from the train station. Within moments of leaving the hotel there are two underground malls you can visit. Did not have the benefit of visiting the spa but the on-site spa/public bath is included in the cost of the hotel room. "

APA Hotel Nagoya Sakae Ekimae EXCELLENT
3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (1000)
"My room at this APA Hotel was near Otsu Dohri facing north. During this period of my stay (Mar 13-15, 2024), night-time outside air temps were in the range of 6~10C, cool enough to sleep with the window barely open. Cool night-time air is a very good thing: the hotel does not switch its HVAC system from heat-only to A/C only until night-time ambient outside air temperatures reach about 15C at night, about from late fall to late April . (If an air conditioned room is important to restful sleep,...
