This ryokan offers you to dine in an intimate setting so you're in a separate room with your guests/partner. The NEST at Nishiki is both a new and an exceptional property. The rooms were spotless and functional, the staff was extremely attentive, and the location was just perfect--steps from the Nishiki Market and the Gion district. Yet the single most outstanding feature of the NEST at Nishiki is its manager, Ms. Chie Nakamura. She is professional, knowledgeable, a top-notch hotelier, and a wonderful person. This is a modern hotel in a great location, located on top of a subway station only 4 stops without transfer from Kyoto Station. The subway and bus options are very convenient. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance and of course several Seven's and a nice grocery store nearby. The beds are comfortably and the Nespresso machines were great.

Great spot! You're right next to the train station (Keihan Line) which is perfect if you want to do a spontaneous Osaka Day Trip or get closer to the temples! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The area has nearby food options (more local and less touristy).
