"Imagine a beautiful gated private family home on an elevated site full of olive and fruit trees where you can look out over all of Heraklion and the Mediterranean from the upper patio. If you prefer to stay outside Heraklion, just a few minutes from Knossos, this is the perfect place to stay. The house is beautifully and fully furnished with all that anyone could ask for. It is clean and looks like it was built 2 years ago, although in fact it was built in 1996. The owner is a friendly and warm person and the refrigerator was full of items we needed. If you are fortunate to find this property available for your dates, look no further and grab it. Just arrive using the driving instructions from the manager, drop your stuff and head into Heraklion for lunch at Peskesis, just a block from the easy Central Parking lot. The Heraklion Archaeoleogical Museum is a short walk away even though we missed it after a long lunch, as it closes at 3:30pm. Everything about our stay was perfect and I don't think we have ever been more comfortable. If I could think of anything critical to say, I would. There is simply no room for improvement...what an unexpected and greatly appreciated pleasure! If I were staying for a month and touring Crete by car, this house would be the perfect base as it is so comfortable. Thank you, Minas, for having us as guests and treating us so well! "We have just returned from Villa Agrielia after having a wonderful and relaxing 14 days holiday. Many thanks to our hosts Stelios, Maria and family for your friendliness and hospitality helping us to enjoy our stay. The villa is beautifully decorated in a traditional stone wall and wooden ceiling style situated in a quiet village. It is an ideal base for exploring if you so wish, but car is essential if you are out every day. We made use of the bikes riding to Episkopi on several occasions and found people so friendly they really make you feel at home. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the villa to family and friends."

"A beautiful spot in a lovely village. We only wish we had stayed longer. Beds and rooms are spacious well lit and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious fresh food with coffee and fresh orange juice. It’s the same every day so if you like variety best be prepared to cook in your room or walk. Easy but somewhat hilly walk to the main square, full of vibrant tavernas with good food. Excellent friendly service from the staff. "

"My family and I enjoyed a lovely week at this beautiful, brand-new villa, which features a spectacular view of Zeus mountain and the checkered olive groves and vineyards surrounding it. There are lovely walks along country lanes, and a village with a supermarket, two trendy cafes, and a butcher’s shop just 5 minutes’ walk away. Beautiful beaches are just 15-20 minutes’ drive away, along with all the shops and restaurants of Heraklion. Yannis and his wife are very friendly and responsive hosts. The villa itself has a lovely decor and many conveniences like a dishwasher, laundry and satellite TV. It is close to Knossos and the airport. The villa was so lovely that we ended up spending a lot more time there than we did touring around! We would highly recommend it."

"We had a wonderful week in this property. The pictures don't do it justice and it is very well appointed and comfortable. Our host Eirini and her husband were very welcoming and friendly and communication throughout was excellent. The location was perfect for us with tavernas and a mini market just a few minutes walk away and a short drive into the city and local attractions and the views from the villa were spectacular and the pool and games room kept the kids happy & occupied all week. We would highly recommend this property."
