"We stayed at another hotel nearby in this collection earlier in the year, so we knew the location was good. The Al Jomrok hotel is a little different as it has rooms that are all internal with corridors running around the building with great views of the souk, the corniche and a small square. They had lots of seating in the corridors which extended the room and gave you extra space to sit. As it is right in the souk it is not possible to drive right up to it, but if you go to the Arumaila...

"Room space very big but the bed itself way too small you can easily change to Queen size bed instead, after long hot day outside I prefer to have a hot bathtub for relaxing which you don't provide. Entrance to the Hotel is quite difficult you may provide bell boy outside the hotel so guests don't have to drag their suite case along the road."

"Club room facilities are good but you can ignore the dress code as nobody polices it. Same guy a few nights in training gear, trainers, sports shirts etc but nobody said anything to him which was disappointing as some other people made an effort to dress up. Meals in club lounge were generally very good but afternoon tea wasn’t worth the visit so we only went once. Staff very good and attentive. Pool area is looking a little tired and it would be nice to have somewhere to sit in some shade in the pool other than sitting at the bar. Plenty of loungers and space and the lifeguards are the most attentive I’ve seen anywhere so very safe. No information anywhere in the room about any of the events going on, hotel plan, gym opening times or menus for the restaurants etc. if you don’t have a smart phone you have no chance, even the drinks menus are on-line. The buggy to the Lagoona mall was unexpected but a nice touch, again not advertised anywhere. I would stay again as I really enjoyed it."
