"We stayed for five nights to attend family wedding 30 minutes away. We had an exceptional time. The Villa was a magnificent place. Our host Jeannine was great from meeting us the first day familiarizing us with the Villa, providing us with a delicious lasagna dinner for our first night and being available throughout our stay. "Our first trip to Tuscany. Casa Marta was absolutely located on the most gorgeous area of Val d’Orcia the views are as if you are looking at a painting. Carine is a fabulous host with great suggestions on where to visit and things to do in the surrounding villages. This was our first trip but not our last."

"The house and grounds are very nice. The character of the old farmhouse is kept and combined with just enough modernization to make it perfect. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are modernized with nice fixtures. Plenty of outside sitting and gathering areas. Michael was a pleasure to deal with. Montisi is a small town, but very nice. Perhaps the most picturesque we saw in all of Tuscany. The locals were very kind. We didn't experience the tourist crowds there that we saw in other towns in the area. We were very pleased with our choice of this house."

"The Villa is perfect in many ways...the kitchen is well-equipped, has a very comfy sitting area, has incredible views and sunsets of the Tuscan countryside from the lovely outdoor patio, and overall is well appointed. Podere Ampella is quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed our ten nights there. The location is excellent for driving to the major sites, Siena, Assisi, Cortona as well as the small villages that are close by to explore. Our communication with Naomi was superb and she provided excellent instructions and directions to us prior to our arrival at the Villa. We were met by Jo, the caretaker who was super helpful and nice throughout our stay. He made us feel comfortable and shared some of his favorite places to visit with us. We would highly recommend the Villa Ampella-La Torre to anyone wishing to stay in a lovely Villa in the Val d' Orcia area of Tuscany. Thank you, Naomi and Jo for a wonderful stay at your Villa. "Family group of 9, ranging from 17 to 73 stayed for a week this august and we all loved this villa. The location and views are just beautiful with stunning sun rises and sunsets. We loved the pool but unfortunately were under attack from mozzies and big biting flies but there’s nothing anyone can do about nature. The villa has everything you could need, the only thing that would have been helpful for us as such a big group was more shelves in the oven, there was only one and we ate in a lot. Luigi was lovely and so helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend."
