"Don't hesitate for a second, it's a wonderful place! We spent two weeks with our family (3) in this newly opened establishment. It's a magnificent 17th-century mansion, beautifully renovated and ideally located in To scan. The staff were delightful both in welcoming us and throughout our stay. We would particularly like to thank the owners for their friendliness. We will definitely return to this house in Tuscany is truly magnificent. Don't hesitate another second."
"If you like elegant antique ambiance this is the place to stay. Incredible attention to detail from the rooms to the lobby, breakfast was fantastic and staff couldn’t be more helpful and polite. Definitely coming back !"
"The breakfast assortment and quality were amazing. The view from the patio was very beautiful during breakfast. The manageress was very warm and welcoming."
"The most beautiful place to spend on our honeymoon.
Simonetta and her husband were extremely welcoming, we didn’t have a lot of solid plans made during our stay and Simonetta provided the most perfect recommendations for us.
We even did a cooking class with her which was so much fun!
Thank you so so much! "
"Ottima esperienza, camera grande spaziosa e pulita. Abbiamo cenato e la qualita era eccellente. Un po scarsa la colazione ma nel complesso molto bene! "

"The location for this hotel was absolutely perfect. Perfect location. Dreamy town. The hotel staff was friendly… literally everyone. The hotel was spotless, the linens were soft, and breakfast was beautiful. The tables were set with linens and silverware and the servers brought freshly made coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice upon request. Guests help themselves to a full breakfast buffet with unique options, like rolled omelettes, stuffed tomatoes, vegetables, but there are also pastries and freshly made jams. I couldn’t have been happier with our experience. "
"When we were looking for somewhere to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family we naturally turned to Italy where we have spent many happy holidays in the past. We found Fondo Caprile in an area we had visited before and decided that it would be the ideal place. How right we were. It certainly lived up to its photos and our expectations. Communications beforehand with the host, Mieke, were prompt and helpful. The house itself was equipped with everything you can think of (and more). It is so spacious and has such lovely grounds. We loved sitting in the outside dining area at mealtimes with its views across to Cortona, even when there was a thunderstorm on one occasion.Fondo Caprile is also well located, within an hour or so of Perugia, Assisi and Montepulciano by car with Cortona just twenty minutes away. We also took advantage of the railway service from Camucia for trips to Florence and Orvieto. We used the meal service provided by Denise (the caretaker) and her friend Lorena on 3 occasions and would not have found any better meals in the local restaurants. "
"The propriety is one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. Very relaxing atmosphere, comfortable large pool area. Breakfast and lunch options are delicious. Room was very comfortable and spacious.
The only problem I experienced was both adjacent rooms were smokers and did so on their patios. We couldn’t enjoy our patio or leave our do open while they were doing so. The property has a health spa and other wellbeing activities, but allows smoking on the property. I would consider this next time. "
"A Heartfelt Home Away from Home – Thanks to Silvia!
Absolutely incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, Silvia made us feel like longtime friends returning home. Her warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality were truly spectacular in every way. The food was nothing short of amazing—every meal felt like a lovingly prepared feast. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with every need thoughtfully covered, making our stay effortlessly comfortable.
We loved that we could easily walk into Cortona proper—such a charming town to explore. It’s also a perfect jumping-off point to visit other stunning Tuscan cities. This is more than just a hotel; it’s a heartfelt experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommended!"
