  • 2100 sq. ft. walk out basement only with private entrance and drive, 2 bedroom suites(1 King, 1 Queen) with adjoining bathrooms, and 1 Bunkroom with 4 beds for children up to 150 ibs Top floor is occupied and not included in rental. Great room with adjoining full Kitchen. All overlooking the lake, pool and hot tub . Fishermen can launch their boat and tie up to the Pier below. Robert Trent Jones Golf course is only 10 minutes away. We are at the center of the Shoals area and only minutes to downtown Florence. Home to The University of North Alabama Lions, home of W. C. Handy Father of The Blues and some of the best bass fishing in the world on Pickwick Lake. Also,only 10 minutes from Muscle Shoals home of the world famous Fame Studio and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Visit these recording studios where legends like The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Paul Simon, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge and so many more recorded songs that made Muscle Shoals "The Hit Recording Capital of the World. So much to see and do here in this Paradise of the Shoals.
    MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 8. Holiday weekends are 4 night minimum. We do accept small parties and Weddings with signed contract and extra charge according to number of guest and hours rented, extra damage deposit..

What excellent hosts! They were very friendly without being nosey, and so helpful when we had even the smallest of needs. It was too cold to swim in the pool (although we tried - brrrrr!) but the hot tub was AWESOME in the evenings after we were out all day. The location is a nice little neighborhood with hardly anything going on around it, but close enough to shopping and restaurants that we didn't feel weighed down with driving all over the place. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were good sized. Cooking in the kitchen was no problem. Plenty of room in the refrigerator, counter tops, and sink for accommodating lots of meals over the week. We will definitely come here again next time we visit family!

We had the best time staying here! They had amazing amenities, not too far from downtown florence, and were available for anything we had questions about. The pool was such a plus. We did have to purchase baking sheet pans and salt/ pepper but everything else was 10/10! Jim and Susan were so incredibly sweet and accommodating.

Jim and Susan are absolutely great hosts. Although they live upstairs, they are often out on the weekends and don’t disturb privacy whatsoever. The pool, hot tub and dock are all top-notch.The property is also appointed very nice. They didn’t skimp on cost for the furniture and decorations, which makes you truly feel like you’re living in a nice home on the lake.We marked this one as a favorite and will be back.

Great Unit Close to RTJ Trail Muscle Shoals Golf Courses

My mom, sister and I stayed here last week. My daughter was playing in a golf tournament at the RTJ golf courses. It was 10 minutes away. The unit is lovely. As is the pool and deck area. The hosts are very kind and accommodating. They live upstairs so available to answer any questions or concerns. Thanks for a great stay. If we ever need to come back to the area we will definitely ask to stay again!

Delightful Respite

We are two golfing couples who golf at the nearby RTJ courses every fall. We usually stay in Florence at the Marriott. Our stay here was so much better. The house is great and we were interacting with our friends in a comfortable environment instead of being in a noisy bar. We will plan to return for our next visit.

Team Retreat

We hosted a team bonding retreat and this was the perfect location! The views were stunning and the pool by the river was the perfect touch we needed after a long day of physical work. My only suggestion would be to add some grippies to the stairs on the pool. We had 4 separate people slip and fall because the stairs entering the pool were so slippery. Other than that it was a wonderful stay and our team has walked away closer than ever! Thank you for an amazing time!

Florence / Muscle Shoals Trip

Weekend getaway with family. This home and location was perfect for our needs. The home is beautifully decorated and the host were great to work with. We enjoyed the pool and lake access. Highly recommend this home for anyone traveling in this area. We would love to go back for another trip.

Wonderful Weekend!

Our stay at Paradise in the Shoals was wonderful from start to finish. The owners are fantastic, the home is so beautiful and comfortable with the location near plenty of restaurants & shopping. You can tell Jim & Susan take pride in hosting and welcoming others. True southern hospitality. The home is well stocked with above-average kitchen items, and linens and it really gives you the comfort of home. It was very clean as well. The pool is wonderful and so relaxing on the lake. Literally steps away from your front door. The area was clean, well manicured and so peaceful. We honestly had no issues whatsoever, and plan to be back for another girl's weekend soon!
