"The room was clean; however, the air conditioning had a slightly musty smell. Unfortunately, the experience was disrupted when housekeeping knocked on our door before 10:00 a.m. and informed us that checkout time was 10:00 a.m. This was incorrect, as I had confirmed that checkout was at 11:00 a.m. I raised this with the front desk, as guests should not be disturbed before the official checkout time. Due to this experience, I would not recommend this accommodation to my medical team, friend or others."

"This resort is a sister property to Royal Islander La Plage across the street and you will likely wish you had booked there instead. While La Terrasse has a beautiful pool onsite, a lovely roof garden, and a convenient parking garage, the minimal communication from and availability of staff, coupled with the restrictiveness of the supposedly “shared amenities” of La Plage, was frustrating to navigate. No one explained anything to us at check-in about room cleaning, towel availability or pool or parking location. Thank goodness for the patient Security staff, who helped with luggage, towels, directions and even check-out, as no one was at the front desk a good share of the day and the call number the sign at the front desk referred us to was only sporadically staffed. The pool bar is rarely open either. The people at La Plage explained what the La Terrasse staff did not — but made sure to tell us that only the small beach area at the bottom of their guests’ beach access stairs was available to us. (And you better have your towels set up on beach chairs before 8 AM …) Activity plan info is only there. This resort is ideal for travelers who are as interested in nightlife and the casino as the are in the beach — Maho village is a busy, energetic place from dawn til way past dusk, and the planes from the right-there airport and the traffic on what is a main island road add to that. Restaurants and cafes are convenient but a relaxing “get away from it all” is not Maho Village. "

"The hotel itself is in great condition and looks well maintained, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the service is on the level of a hostel rather than a proper hotel. The staff give the impression that they’re doing you a favor instead of simply doing their job, which makes interactions frustrating. Room service is practically nonexistent. Our room was cleaned, but no fresh shampoo or shower gel was provided. After calling four times with no result, I had to go and pick it up myself. I also asked to speak with a manager and am still waiting for a callback — which honestly says everything about how things are handled here. Overall, the service is brutally bad and completely undermines what could have been a good stay."

"Place was beautiful pictures don’t do it justice .. view was beautiful.. place was clean. Stacy was amazing and answered promptly if i had any questions. I wish i would’ve read the emails before hand about assitance with activities, chef and groceries, but there’s always next time.. felt very safe too "

"The location is great, the host was great at communicating and available. The views was amazing.The listing did include the pool was heated but it wasn’t when we were there. I paid extra for romantic roses petals but no roses were in the room only some cheap heart shaped creations. The bathroom and towels need to be updated. "

"This location was excellent — Mullet Bay Beach, a grocery store, and several restaurants were all within easy walking distance. We were four adults sharing the space, and it never felt crowded; the layout made getting read and using the showers effortless. Stacey, the property manager, was also incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we had questions.The ocean view was truly wonderful. Stepping outside each morning to those gorgeous natural colours while enjoying our coffee and breakfast made the stay even more special."
