"We booked a private room for 1 night, weeks in advance. We arrived at 1700 to an empty front desk and other travelers also waiting to check-in. We were told that rooms needed to be cleaned and we could wait. This wasn’t a big deal as we sat in the dining area. The employee didn’t offer us wifi or water, but made an espresso drink for another guest of the property. "Loved being in the Cotopaxi National Parque. This place is rustic,comfortable. We had a small wood stove in our room which was lit each night by staff. The dining area serves delicious food for great prices. We had filet mignon for 15$ each. Again, coffee is not great, but it does the job. We took a 2 hour guided horse ride with a local fellow, it was wonderful to go out and see nature. Views of Cotopaxi were spectacular, the weather was great. Staff speaks english well enough to understand each other. "
