We also loved the thoughtful touches, like being able to check the status of the laundry machines directly from the TV. A very comfortable and convenient stay."

"This is a new hotel with lovely rooms and bathrooms and the ubiquitous Japanese automatic toilet. The room had everything we needed, and the lounge downstairs offered hot and cold coffee on tap. While it’s not in the hot tourist part of town (a plus in my view), the location next to Kyoto station is really convenient, especially if you’ve booked one of the tours that start right next door."
