"The house felt (and even smelled) new and the whole place was modern, spacious, and a very hospitable atmosphere! We stayed there with our young kids and parents, and everyone enjoyed the stay and slept comfortably. If you're staying in the tatami rooms and are used to soft beds, then you'll likely find the bedding to be very firm. You can double up the mattresses and futon. Theres only one bath room, which is typical for homes in Japan and it was very nice and clean. And the sauna felt so good...

"Incredibly spacious rooms, a beautiful onsen that’s open early and late in the day, it’s a wonderful hotel! The building is noticeably older but everything is extremely well maintained. There is a Familymart just a minute’s walk down the street, along with bus stops that will take you to all the local attractions with min a ten to twenty minute ride! The views of the mountains are stunning, just a great and very affordable place stay (the hotel buffet breakfast is worth paying for, too. Great selection!)"

"Location is nice. Close proximity to the bus stop with a Family Mart right next door. 10 min bus ride to the ropeway. The rooms are big and the private onsen was the perfect way to start the morning and relax after a day outdoors. Beer on tap & you can mix your own drinks. "I liked everything about the hotel, especially the service received from Yoshika (sp?) at the front desk. He was absolutely wonderful! He was professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, thoughtful, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. WITH A SMILE, he helped us with so much from learning how to start the washer/dryers to calling restaurants to see if we could get in, to providing restaurant suggestions, to answering our many questions when he seemed to be extremely busy. I know a spirit of excellence when I see it…he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! Yoshika was GENUINELY committed to making our experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, and we greatly appreciate that. I would highly recommend this hotel just on him alone!"
