"A truly delightful stay. Borgo del Carato is beautifully restored, and located in beautiful surroundings. The first thing that struck us is how the air is rich with the scent of orange and wisteria blossom and the garden in the morning full of birdsong. "Salvio met us when we arrived and opened his home and his heart to us. Whatever we needed, he was happy to provide.
Arriving by bicycle, climbing the hill from sea level was hard, but well worth it!
If we return to Siracusa, we will definitely be staying at the Kosmos. "

"What a beautiful villa with an amazing pool! The villa was close to the supermarket and we had everything we needed for a fun family holiday. Andreas was a great host and brought more fans when we needed them. We’d definitely recommend this villa!! "

"We had a great family vacation. Making full use of the pool and padel court. Great base to go and visit Syracuse. Local food and drink was very well priced. Accommodation was comfortable, the kitchen a little smaller than it appeared in photos but perfect for 5 people. The hosts were super helpful and accommodating, great help finding food on our arrival (late on Easter Sunday) and flexible around schedule."

"The building is modern unfortunately the location is in the middle of no where. It is located between old houses some of them abandoned and empty lots, which make you, feel out of place. I choose this place because they offered "parking" but it’s street parking, no parking or inside parking; first come first serve and a few times we have to park on the neighbored properties. Also front desk service is very scatter, the only way of communication with them is by WhatsApp, which they don't answer right away. Mattress hard as stone, gave us terrible back pain. They offered. Netflix but it is not available, only if you are Netflix customer. No restaurant onsite, as they listed, or any restaurant in walking distance in the area. Business is done by people, and unfortunately the service felt short, it felt like they were doing you a favor by staying there, rather than being welcomed as guests"

"Lovely property, the pool was amazing. Paolo was so lovely, very happy, sweet man, he made everything so easy for us, Greeted us with pizza and ice cream and even played a bit of football with our three year old.
The Villa is about 25 minutes drive to the town of Siracuse, and theres a little village 5 minutes drive away for groceries and a few restaurants so it was perfect for us, we wanted a peacful family holiday.
Would recommend!

"We had a wonderful stay at this villa and would recommend it to others. The house is in a peaceful, secluded location, overlooking countryside to the coast, and (unlike many listings) the pool really is as big as it looks in the photos, and well maintained. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds and lockable doors, and the air conditioning is very efficient. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is the kitchen, which lacks an electric kettle, toaster or dishwasher, and the fact you can't put toilet paper down the loo. But the cooker and oven work well, there is ample fridge space, a good BBQ and outdoor seating areas, and the shower works well.
The villa is well situated for exploring the East of Sicily, including Syracuse, Mount Etna, the southern Baroque cities and the coast. Andrea was a brilliant host and incredibly helpful - thank you so much!"
"Overall a lovely property. The pool is fantastic and great to come back to in the hot afternoons. There is a lovely outside area too where we spent most of our time. We moved the table to catch the evening breeze down the side of the house.
Communication was easy and the owner came to meet us to drive to the property which was a bit out of the way.
The only problem we had was the electrics tripping. I think there may have been a problem with the air conditioning unit in the main bedroom. The owner did call an electrian out and that helped. And the air conditioning unit seemed to work better after that too."
