Mandy rang us to ask what time we would expect to be there on the day, then met us as we parked up. Mandy was very friendly and warm. There were fresh cakes and coffee/tea when you are in the reception, you help yourself. Everything was spotless. The room was amazing, under floor heating in the bathroom was a treat. The bed was so comfy. The breakfast was perfect, the french toast was epic, you won't need lunch, the portion was a great size. I would recommend the home made granola, delicious. All the staff were friendly, her grandchild at breakfast was really helpful, I swear she was the boss really. Couldn't fault the place, great location.

Great accommodation, hosts and breakfast

Great room which was plush and spotless, great hosts who were friendly and attentive and a great location to walk into the town for an evening bar meal, a short walk to the coast and beach or for sightseeing in the area. Breakfast was superb. Will certainly be returning.

The house and garden are beautiful and spacious. The care given by Amanda the owner was excellent, from the friendly personal greeting, to the use of the house and the grounds not just the room, to the daily cake treats, to the amazing breakfasts and fab location, just a short walk to the town and the beach made it an excellent place to stay.

Everything about our short break was excellent..friendly service, breakfast beautifully cooked and presented. All the rooms are very comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. The added touch of cakes for afternoon tea was special. Would come back next time we visit the area.

An excellent stay

Everything was extremely good, from check-in to checkout. There was a good variety of beverages to make in the room with the added bonus of fresh milk on offer for that first brew. Also available was homemade shortbread yum yum. All areas of the guesthouse were very clean. Finally there was a good choice of alternatives for breakfast. Throughly enjoyed the full English. I think this in definitely my best start to finish experience i have had in staying in hotels/guesthouses/B&B's. No problems with staying here again. Mandy the owner was superb.

Wonderful stay at Fairfield House

From the moment we arrived Mandy made us feel so welcome. The house is stunning as was the bedroom and bathroom. Everywhere was immaculately clean and well decorated. Mandy's attention to detail just made the stay even more enjoyable. The added touch of homemade cakes and fresh milk for drinks in your room as well as bottled water and wine glasses all added to a 5* experience. The breakfasts were so good that we need to return to try all the other options! It was nice to have room service and we enjoyed sitting in the garden and reading after a lovely long walk. Warkworth is lovely and it was so nice to be able to walk to the beach and enjoy the coastal paths without driving.

A top end property but well worth paying the extra to experience this delightful house and the standard of customer care given to guests. One of the best breakfast menus I have experienced, all expertly prepared by Mandy, who obviously takes a pride in her work. 10/10 doesn't seem enough!

A little bit of heaven

Such a beautiful house and garden. We would love to stay there again. The welcome was generous, including the offer of help with our bags. Fresh milk and cakes were waiting in our room. The breakfasts were terrific. The fruit at breakfast was fresh, and both the full English breakfast, and the Craster kippers were delicious. Seating areas in the garden and on the terrace are very special, and exploring the paths through the garden and over the pond was a gardeners dream. The rooms are clean and spacious. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Totally amazing stay. Personable service from the lovely Mandy and her team. From arriving to a smile and a lovely cuppa and homemade cake to the extremely large breakfast of choice and huge bathroom and comfortable bed. Everything was perfect. A stroll into the village to be various pubs and a walk to the enormous sandy beautiful beach
