"During our honeymoon, trip from San Francisco to L.A. in March 2026, we stayed here one night. I had booked a Deluxe Room with King Bed for $309.00. From the online photo of this particular room type, and for the price, I was expecting something special, but was assigned dark, dingy room #216, located on the ground floor at the rear of the property. Instead of the expected garden view with floor to ceiling windows as shown for this room type, there was no window at all in the front next to the entrance door. The only way to see the garden was to leave the door open! There was a rear window, facing a parking lot with a view of a bush and a large ugly storage container which we named "The dumpster". There was an array of junk out back too. We kept the blinds closed to pretend that view didn't exist. Of course the room was dark even during daytime. This room was NOTHING like the one in the photo and could not possibly be one of the deluxe rooms. My lady was so upset. I asked the front desk to ask for a better room but the only one available was an adjacent room 215 with a queen bed instead of the king. It did have a front window to the garden but the friendly desk person warned us that many people complain about that room because one wall is shared with the laundry room which is noisy. We stayed with the original dark, dingy room. What a disappointment! All nine other hotels on our trip were wonderful. I can't believe I chose this place over all the beautiful ones nearby."

"We can see the bay from our room. Room is very spacious and comfortable. The staff it was really nice. The breakfast bar was tasty and clean. The pool was a little cold.But the hot tub was great. Location to walking distance to the wharf and several places was perfect. "

"Several things weren’t up to par considering the ‘glowing’ reviews we read before booking. Firstly, the staff were quite odd and unfriendly. Our bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the cleaners didn’t even fill up our conditioner or body wash so we couldn’t even shower. The walls are paper thin and we had cleaners shouting at each other outside our room before 8am so I don’t think staff care about guest experience at all. The ‘breakfast’ was the biggest joke of all - some lack lustre pastries, about five yogurts up for grabs and some waffle mix which ran out before we could even have some (we were down at breakfast by 8am so not sure why it had already run out and when we notified the person at the front desk, he looked annoyed that we had mentioned it). The somewhat of a saving grace is that it’s in a good location and it was nice that the rooms had been somewhat updated but I wouldn’t rush back nor would I necessarily recommend it to anyone I know. "

"Very tired, continental breakfast is a waste of time, room is a decent size, vip sparkling wine not worth drinking. Was able to park 2 cars and EV charging was free but only 30 amp so 25 miles per hour. "

"Really nice place, close to the beach and has bikes! Comfortable beds and pillows, very clean rooms, nice breakfast and great staff! Thank you so much, we had the best time! "

"We are a family of 3 kids (3-10 yo) and 2 adults. 1 bed + loft + sofa bed was perfect for us. We loved the convenient location and took advantage of breakfast and the surrey/bike rental. Enjoyed free surrey rental for 4 hours. Comfy beds. Quiet area that is perfectly walkable to beach, boardwalk, wharf, restaurants, wineries. Didn’t get a chance to try pool and hot tub, but these are additional amentities. Beautiful trees and Spanish style architecture. Just a wonderful location with excellent staff and amentities. Will come again and again. "

"We got the family suite and it is tiny, I did not expect to be that cramped in for a family of 4. If I would have known I would have gotten 2 rooms. They need to put more pictures. I felt bamboozled. The hotel is cute and in a good location. But I felt they were stingy with their supplies. Room had 3 towels 1 toilet paper, yes I know I can ask for more, but it’s common sense to leave extra supplies the more guests there is. The bed was hard for me but fine for husband. The kids did not sleep good in their bunk beds and they said it felt claustrophobic in that small “2nd Bedroom” more like a closet makeshift bedroom. I would not stay there again, but their customer service was great. "
