"We were returning from skiing and wanted a day to play in Lyon prior to getting on the plane. This was a nice, out of the way place. We went to Lyon and had fun, and were close to the airport when it was time to leave. The house we clean, check in was easy, owner was very helpful. I would stay again!"

"This would be a great place to stopover on a roadtrip through the Lyon region. Pity I didn't have a car so had to rely on train which is 20 minutes away. However, it wasn't too hard to check out Lyon from here and was far cheaper than anything in town. The staff were brilliant, particularly the lady who checked me in who was very helpful and was able to communicate well in English which was appreciated. "

"I'm giving this a 1 but it deserves better. I want people to read this review because others are over rating it. It is very important to know what you are getting. This place is very basic. The bathroom is next to the bed in a small closet. The lock for the door is a small padlock. There was a fecal smell that kept us up at night. The bed was a soft mat type bed not a mattress. Check in is not before 5 but we got there at 4 and found the lady to give us keys. I could hear other people easily in many rooms. Not a place for a romantic couple. A night for a guy traveling through it might be perfect but at 9.4 it is way over rated. I'd say a 6. It is like a hostel with individual rooms not a hotel. The building is old and very authentic. "

"The woman at reception, Morgan Jenkins, could not have been more helpful, she was brilliant and spoke great English as well. The room was big and comfortable, but was no frills e.g lacked an iron and any tea/ coffee facilities but otherwise clean and exactly what we needed. It is well out of town so own transport needed or there is a tram about 10 minutes walk away. There is a McDonald’s next door but otherwise no obvious restaurants nearby. If you have your own car ensure you ask for on site parking ( they have a big Carpark, but I wouldn’t want to leave it in the nearby area). We paid for breakfast which was a decent enough selection, typically continental, but sadly on second day they had completely run out of the cooked meat and the hastily prepared scrambled eggs were verging on inedible ( hard, burnt) but that aside it was fine. This hotel is clearly for short stays where the main aim is to sleep comfortably whilst in transit, but as I say it was exactly what we needed and if that is what you need it is perfect. "

"A lovely guest house with excellent facilities. An easy drive to Lyon or the surrounding countryside. Charles (our host) was kind and accommodating to our family. Thoroughly recommended and we would happily return. "

"We had a room with a sunny balcony, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfasts every morning were excellent. The bath had neither a plug or a shower curtain, the only option was to knell and use the hand shower. We were disappointed to be told that the restaurant was closed Sunday evening and all day Monday, none of the other local restaurants were open."
