Capitol Heights is a charming neighborhood located in the heart of Montgomery, Alabama. With its rich history and central location, Capitol Heights is a perfect destination for those looking to experience the city's vibrant culture and attractions. The neighborhood is home to a mix of historic homes and modern apartments, many of which have been beautifully restored to their original charm. From the leafy streets to the friendly residents, Capitol Heights offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes visitors feel right at home. With its close proximity to downtown Montgomery, residents and visitors alike can easily access the city's top attractions, such as the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, to name just a few. Whether you're in town for business or pleasure, Capitol Heights is the ideal place to stay and explore all that Montgomery has to offer.

Use the front or back yard or enjoy any space in the house. You may access any space inside the house other than the locked supply closet. Park along the curb on St. Charles Avenue, the side street, or in the small one-car driveway at the back. The front door is up three to five steps onto the front porch and has an electronic smart lock.

We set this home up for families and groups who want to be together without feeling crowded. It's a historic Montgomery home with tall ceilings, big rooms, and large windows that fill the house with daylight. Everything inside is on one level, and you'll have the whole place to yourselves, from the living room to the front and back yards. The only door we ask you to skip is the locked supply closet. In the living room you'll find comfortable seating, soft blankets, and a TV for movie time together. A dedicated workspace is there if someone needs to catch up on email, and the Alabama State Capitol is only about 3 minutes away when you're ready to head out.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

• Bathrooms: 2 full bathrooms, so mornings run smoothly for a full house. One has a bathtub.
Every bedroom has its own king bed, so nobody gets stuck with the "bad bed." Blackout curtains and ceiling fans help each room stay dark and comfortable after a busy day. Bed linens are provided, so you can unpack and settle right in.

KITCHEN & DINING
The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. You'll also find cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and a coffee maker with coffee for your first morning. Cook a family meal and sit down together at the dining table. If you're traveling with a little one, we have a high chair ready for you. A washer and dryer are on hand for game-day gear or a longer trip.

OUTDOORS
The big front porch is the star. It's a roomy spot for morning coffee, easy conversation, or winding down once the house goes quiet. Around back, the backyard gives you fresh air and a bit of space to stretch out. We'd ask you to watch your step on the outdoor walkways, since they use repurposed materials that can be uneven or slick.

Driving or taking an Uber is the best way to get around Montgomery.

A few things to know before you book:

PRIMARY GUEST
The guest who books must be at least 25 years old and must stay at the home for the entire reservation. The primary guest is responsible for everyone in their group and any visitors.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
Every guest is required to sign a short rental agreement after booking. This is not optional: our property insurance requires a signed agreement for each stay, and our attorneys have advised the same. It covers house rules, check-in and check-out procedures, occupancy limits, and responsibility for damage. It takes about two minutes, and there is no app to download and no account or password to create. We send it after booking along with a brief check-in form, and your access details follow once both are complete.

HOUSE RULES
• Maximum 8 overnight guests
• Quiet hours 9 pm to 8 am
• No parties or events
• No smoking or vaping
• Pets welcome: up to 2 (dogs 60 lb or under; some breeds are restricted for insurance). $50 pet fee per stay covers all pets. Please add pets to your reservation.
• The fireplaces are not for use
• No commercial photography or filming without our written approval (see below)
• Please lock the front door each time you leave. It does not lock automatically

DURING YOUR STAY
Our cleaning, maintenance, and guest-support team works hard to make your stay great. Airbnb expects guests to be considerate and respectful of hosts and everyone they meet during a stay, and we ask the same toward our team, vendors, and neighbors. Concerns are always welcome. Verbal abuse, threats, or harassment of anyone on our team will be reported to Airbnb.

Please tell us about any damage as soon as it happens so we can sort it out fairly. Please keep total people on the property, including daytime visitors, within the guest limit. Please leave the exterior cameras and the indoor noise monitor connected and uncovered.

Commercial photography or filming is only allowed with our written approval before your stay. Approval requires a commercial general liability policy of at least $1,000,000 naming Dreamline Suites as an additional insured. All house rules, guest limits, and parking rules still apply.

GETTING IN & PARKING
Park along the curb on St. Charles Avenue, the side street beside the house. There is also a small one-car driveway at the back. The front door is up three to five steps onto the front porch, where the smart lock is.

PETS
The $50 pet fee is a flat fee per stay and covers all pets. Please crate pets when they're left alone, keep them off beds and furniture, clean up after them, and keep them on a leash outdoors. Service animals are always welcome, with no fee.

GOOD TO KNOW
The outdoor walkways use repurposed materials and can be uneven or slick, so please watch your step. The locked supply closet inside is not for guest use.

EARLY CHECK-IN & LATE CHECKOUT
Available on request when the cleaning schedule allows. $20 per hour, one-hour minimum. Message us and we'll check with our cleaning team.

BEFORE CHECKOUT
Before you head out, please leave used dishes in the kitchen sink or dishwasher, gather used towels in the tub, put trash in the kitchen bin, take your food and belongings, and turn off the lights and A/C. Our cleaning team handles the rest.

LOCAL RULES
City of Montgomery Ordinance 29-2026 (short-term rentals):
• Maximum occupancy is 2 per bedroom plus 2 (8 at this home)
• Park only in designated spaces. No buses, RVs, or commercial vehicles
• Amplified music is allowed indoors only
• No weddings, receptions, parties, or events
• Trash bins must be kept out of public view except on collection day
The city fines the operator $250 for a first violation and $500 for each one after. If a guest's violation results in a city fine, we will request reimbursement through Airbnb's Resolution Center with the citation attached.

SECURITY & MONITORING
For the safety and security of our guests and the property, motion-activated cameras are installed on the exterior only. They record audio and video and monitor entrances and outdoor areas. No cameras monitor any indoor area. An indoor noise-monitoring device measures noise levels only. It does not record audio or video.
