"I honestly cannot say enough about this hotel. For years, it was the spookiest-looking place around, but the results of the renovations are amazing. Everything is fresh and spotlessly clean. Polished floors and windows, detailed ceilings, period furnishings, comfortable (and anti-bedbug sealed) beds, luxury linens. Our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave, ceiling fans and large-flatscreen tv. For a lower price than any of the national brand hotels, we had a luxury stay with character! Add in the friendly, helpful staff and onsite restaurant with great prices and delicious biscuits and blue corn pancakes… you really can’t beat it!"
