"Helpful staff. At check-in they arranged for an early room (12 pm local). Room was spotless. Location is 10 minute walk from Lucerne's historic area, although the streets are dirty away from the historic area. Overall a good stay. And the room is air conditioned! That made a difference in late June 2025 when there was a heat wave. "

"Grand hotel Cappuggi did not disappoint. I stayed with my 3 children for 10 nights end of june , start of july. Very reasonably priced 4* hotel experience haf by all. A little out of town (2 miles) but free shuttle bus (or taxi if not available) shows excellent customer care. Receptionists very helpful, cleaners nice and cheerful. Fabulous swimming pool essential in 38° temperatures. Football and tennis available. Ball provided keeping my boys well entertained. Thiroughly recommend this hotel as a point from where to explore Tuscany and further afield. "

If you are looking for a great place as base to see Lucca and the surrounding area and want modern charming accommodations, you should stay here. "

"Very strong Smoking smell on the room and bathroom even though we don’t smoke. Struggled to sleep at night due to that smell. As we had a pram. Staff was very helpful to take the pram upstairs to the room. However, if there was big it would have been very helpful."
