"The biggest issue that I had was the information that I received about the bus was totally misleading . It says there is a bus down the street… it’s a 10-15 min walk. Oh and it only comes 2-3 times a day and forget about getting back there on the bus. So 1/2 of us came unprepared to rent a car. You must have a car unless you don’t plan on leaving. I can tell you a cab will come and pick you up, the one way trip to Santa Maria Novella is @ 70-80 euro per cab. We could fit 4-6 people and the fee...

"The spaces are great for larger groups to have space away and privacy for breaks. The pool and outdoor dining area was amazing. As expected, water pressure in these older homes can be inconsistent, but was not a problem. The home is a bit away from major highways, so day trips were a little more local driving, but didn’t limit us. Host family is nearby for support, but non intrusive and very accommodating. We had a wonderful dinner prepared our final night and everything was very hospitable."

We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. The owner is a decorator and his home is like a showroom for his talent and taste. We even visited his design shop where we loved things everywhere we looked. "We have travelled all over much of the world over the last 40 years. We can honestly state that this villa was exquisite and furnished beautifully with many antiques. The view on top of the mount was breathtaking. The owners, Antonio and Silvia are unquestionably the finest, dearest owners we have ever met. "Views to die for. Very private in a tiny village this was a very nice place to stay. Rina was a great host and by friendly. There is a little shop in the next village that we would walk to to get lunch. Bagni di Lucca is the local town, 15 minutes down the hill with lot of shops and restaurants. We spent most of the time relaxing at the villa but did enjoy a visit to Lucca."

"We are big coffee drinkers and found that once we figured out how to use the Moka pots, we thoroughly enjoyed our morning coffee while overlooking the countryside. Travel to Montespertoli for a quick gelato or bite to eat was quite easy, so even though the property is wonderfully private, it is not too far from things to do. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation with memories to last a lifetime!"

"We had a wonderful 3 week stay with 8 adults and later 8 adults and 2 children. The property was as depicted with well maintained pool and yard, outdoor dining area, well equipped kitchen. It is on 3 levels with connecting spiral staircase plus a loft. Sarah was a wonderful host, very helpful and responsive. Bagni di Lucca is well past its glory days, but still charming and a short rather steep walk from the house. This is not the Tuscany we imaged with vistas of rolling hills and hilltop towns:...

"Overall a great place to stay. The hill up to the property and track down are challenging so you will need a car and be a confident driver. Local restaurant was fantastic and only 5 min car trip away. Villa is high quality and in great position for views and pool a very good size. Local town has everything you need and supermarket great for those who want to cook in the villa."

"We stayed at Casa Rossa for two weeks with our kids (14 and 11). It was brilliant. The villa inside is spacious, very comfortable, and well equipped.
