"Expensive but it is Bath tbf. The modern block on the side of the original building is fine but bland. Could be any standard hotel room. Food also expensive but it’s a nice experience."

"We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. The pub is conveniently located a few minutes from the Bath park and ride. We'd...

"Nice location, good staff and fab food"

"The hotel looks spectacular when you arrive. On check-in the staff were polite, seemed a little fed up everyday thereafter. The restaurant is something that should be avoided at all costs unless you like eating uninspiring, bland overpriced food (£60 for 2 people and I would have expected something that looked and tasted like some heart had gone into it). Best option was the pub at the end of the drive or a takeaway!! Breakfast was free - that was nice because I would not have paid for it! We...

"We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean."

"I only stayed one night but I was very happy with the hotel."

"A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you."

"Really great location for exploring the city. Within easy walking distance. Comfortable beds - we both slept really well despite the bedroom facing the street, there was no disturbances. Friendly welcome and helpful suggestions. Tasty breakfast served in the room with a good choice of options and timings. Would recommend and would return if needed to."

"A great stay as always. The only reason it’s not a 5* is the room wasn’t made up on the first day - otherwise a great stay."

"Good place"

"A beautiful place in a perfect location to explore Bath."

"This is a great friendly hotel that majors in service and friendliest approach. Nothing is to much trouble always with a smile"

"Geweldige locatie, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goede parkeergelegenheid. Het bed vonden wij iets minder en schimmel in de douche had vermeden kunnen worden."

"Everyone was very nice."

"Fantastic room, helpful staff and a tasty breakfast. Good location, with free parking. Would stay again!"

"Perfect location and gorgeous room."
