"The house was perfect for our family gathering. We had plenty of room in the kitchen for the 17 of us. We grilled each night on the BBQ grill and Blackstone. The bedrooms were roomy, the beds comfy. The backyard was ideal for everyone. The kids played all day in the pool and loved the jump rock and the slip and slide. The adults loved the Shamu pad and hot tub. The sport court had plenty of activities to keep kids busy. Ruby was amazing. She responded immediately and was so helpful. Thank you for this great stay. We plan to return!"

"We had a great stay in this big house. The yard was so fun for all the kids, and the pool was great for the summer heat. It was amazing how many spaces there were for everyone to hang out. And for being nearly 110 degrees outside, the A/C kept the house very comfortable. It was also great to have a 3 car garage to use so you didn't burn up just trying to get in the car. The bunk room for the kids was a big plus, and being separated from the rest of the house allowed us to put the kids to bed so all the adults could spend time just hanging out. I may not have looked close enough at the description, but it had 2 kitchens which made all the meals so easy, and 3 washing machines and dryers in case you're weird like me and like to wash your clothes while on vacation. Such a fun place for a family reunion and so close to so much fun. It was so easy to go spend time at the lake and pop back in for lunch before heading out again. All the beds were really comfortable too. If I was forced to give some constuctive feedback on the property though, I'd say its a little outdated, but honestly its way better than most of the hotels out there and it was kept really clean."

"It was a delightful stay at a historic home from the early 1900s. A park, historical buildings, other houses like this one, and a cafe were all very short walks away with modern conveniences just a little farther. Some essentials left in the pantry were useful. Its an old house so follow the directions about leaving the fan units on upstairs to avoid it getting stuffy. All in all a good stay, just keep in mind its floor plan and rooms are from another era. A delight for history buffs."

"My wife and I have stayed at around 40 vacation rentals in the last 14 months, and Kathryn's rental was by far the best place we visited. The adobe home is absolutely stunning, decorated to the T with southwestern charm. And it was clean as a whistle. We fell in love with the place, so much so that we decided that when we finally settle down, a home like Kathryn's rental in a place like Hurricane is a strong possibility. The only downside to Hurricane is the heat.For travelers like us, small things differentiate "nice" rentals from "fabulous" rentals. For example, instead of cheap paper towels that dissolve the moment water touches them, Kathryn's rental offered top-quality paper towels. In nearly all rentals, the only trash cans are located in the kitchen and bathrooms as if trash is created in only those places. Kathryn's rental had trash cans in every room! Even the placement of facial tissue boxes throughout the rental made it special for us. Most rentals don't offer facial tissues at all.Kathryn is a wonderful host: responsive and flexible. When we return to Hurricane, we will be sure to rent from her."
