"I can’t begin to say enough about this little oasis in the woods. Don’t let the woodsy surroundings concern you. This place is manicured, well lit, and has everything you’ll need when you get there to get you started. We were met with snacks and drinks just to start with. Extra everything paper, huge bottles of name brand shampoos and soaps, as well as things like pasta, and several things in the fridge like sour cream, of all things! I’m sure what is stocked there changes from guest to guest...

The only thing that I can think of to add to the cabin would be to purchase hair dryers for each cabin. I did not know they did not have one and the wife was not happy. Other than that, it was a great stay!"

"This is a beautiful spot! It rained and stormed our entire weekend there but we were still able to sit under the gazebo on the dock and have a relaxing weekend away. The host was courteous and allowed us our privacy but was available if needed. The neighbor was kind as well. They left us a basket of snacks and a couple of bottles of water which was appreciated since we arrived later in the evening. The living area is well equipped and has everything you may need. "Great location. Very walkable to all the fun things Elkin has to offer, including a local brewery/pizza place and a fantastic cocktail bar. Hiking trails for all levels within walking distance from room. Nice studio room, very clean, but a little small for two adults. Needs comfortable seating, task lighting and bedside tables of some sort. 3.5 out of 5"
