Exmoor White Horse Inn

Exmoor White Horse Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Staff here are the loveliest people. Located in a picturesque village in the heart of Exmoor. I fell asleep to the babble of the river beside my window. A truly lovely stay! Bona fide old school hospitality. I will be back!"

"Fijne herberg met gastvrij en vriendelijk personeel. Wij logeerden in de familie kamer, een gezellige ruimte op de tweede verdieping. Er staat ook een bedbank voor een derde persoon, maar die is aan vervanging toe. Ze serveren ook een diner met redelijke keus, en voor het ontbijt heb je ook prima keus."

Charming Exmoor cottage in tranquil setting near mediaeval village of Dunster

"The property was warm, clean and cosy. Timberscombe is a charming village and the residents are very friendly. Located within easy reach of Dunster, Minehead and Exmoor. Elderly or less fit people should take note of the amount of steps in the property, although it is just as advertised."

Exmoor House - Guest House

Exmoor House - Guest House

10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at Exmoor House on Saturday night ahead of my 70.3 triathlon at Wimbleball lake and Izzy and her partner were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were incredibly accommodating at check-in and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for race day. They even arranged an early breakfast for me at 5am so I could properly fuel before the race, which was hugely appreciated. After the race, they were just as fantastic. They kindly let me and my friend come back to shower, and while I was doing that, they made drinks for my family who were waiting — such a thoughtful and generous touch after a long day. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience and exactly what I needed both before and during race day. Izzy and her partner were so welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating, and I genuinely couldn’t recommend Exmoor House more."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Whilst the accommodation was a little tired and could do with a refresh the ambiance was warm and welcoming. You felt at home."

"The location was great for us as we’d travelled for several hours to see the partial eclipse, planet alignment and milky way ‘show’ in August 2026 and this accommodation was just a few miles away from where we need. There was a warm, friendly welcome and our room was ready for us when we arrived. Our room was quite warm as it was in the middle of a heatwave, although the lovely lady who checked us in swopped our room to the coolest available. There was coffee and tea in the room and both the bedroom and the bathroom were very clean, looking as if they had been recently decorated. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was lovely and well priced. There was a fairly wide choice for breakfast, including ‘Full English’ and ‘Smashed Avocado with poached Eggs’. All yummy! This pub is in a quiet village, with the clip clip of horses from time to time. Very calming and peaceful. It has a car park and so any vehicles are safely off the road. We would recommend and would be happy to return."
