"Barbara and her staff are absolutely the kindest people on earth! Their description of their ranch is exactly as they say. We got to live with nature but all the elements of a very upscale ranch. It was holistic, peaceful and nurturing for the soul. This is NOT a place for people looking for a pedicure. This is a place for healing and time within and reflection. My husband says it’s “simple and spiritual.” We have backpacked and hiked all over the islands and this place was such a gem to us. More like the hippie oasis and soul searchers retreat. "

"Good breakfast. Clean room with ensuite bath. Nice patio and entertainment by all the animals of nearby farm. Host was very pleasant and likeable. No tv but we really werent there much. Recommended "

"The pics don’t do this home justice. Beautiful views greet you as soon as you pass thru the Kitchen. Host do a terrific job having the home open and ready for your arrival with Hawaiian music already playing. Cooling pool was a big hit and much larger than it appears. Great launching point for the south side of the island. We will be back!"

"This property was spacious and comfortable. View from the lanai was spectacular. quiet neighborhood. Do take the warnings about the steep driveway. As two people in our 70’s, we had to exert a great deal of energy to get our luggage down the driveway and up the outdoor stair! Once we loaded in everything was perfect!"

"During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). Lisa was a wonderful host who ensured we knew how to use the facilities, and I would definitely check in with her before your arrival to see what supplies are in your specific yurt (previous guests may have left gently used items or extra things behind - we left sunscreen and water bottles, for example)."

"The views from the Lanai were absolutely gorgeous. Black Pebble Beach was just down the road to enjoy the sunsets and the sound of the ocean. It was about 45 minutes from Kailua Kona. The drive didn’t bother us as we drove all over the Island anyway. It was nice to go back to a peaceful community after a long day. Kitchen was fully stocked, beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards. The house did get hot with no air conditioning but we did open windows and doors after coming back and it seemed to help. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, We would definitely stay again"
