"Idea for a single person exploring the south-western Lake District."

"Overall, a pleasant stay, although there were a few areas that could certainly be improved. Parking was convenient, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the shower was very good. The bed was also comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing, particularly the carpet, which was covered in stains. "Room was tired and bed uncomfortable. Car park had no lighting which made it difficult to navigate in the dark."

"Clean room good value"

"The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. "Clean room, comfy bed and a good shower. Hallways could have done with a quick vac. Missed second day breakfast but still enough left."

"Tienen el personal mas amable, son muy atentos y agradables. Por supuesto volvería. Tomen enc uenta el ruido del fin de semana, es mucho pero de domingo a jueves es nulo. El lugar es limpio y cómodo, recibes lo que pagas , el servicio es extraordinario."

"What a perfect place to stay. Room was large and comfortable. Emiko was a lovey host full of great suggestions on what to do locally. Breakfast was very tasty but the real added extra was the on site bar with what seemed like 100s of different whiskeys which Emiko was very knowledgable on and happy to help you find one to enjoy. We will be back. "
