"Highlands is a gorgeous property. They have more luxurious rooms on one side of the road with the restaurant. We stayed other side of the road at the Village at the highlands. Simple but well appointed. Great for our 1 night stay. A few minutes drive to Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park. The restaurant was 5 star. Delicious, make a reservation. Staff was awesome."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. This is one of the most well-equipped VRBO properties we have stayed at. There are so many nice touches - nightlights, cozy fleece blankets everywhere, recliners for relaxing, enough towels for an army, extra tooth brushes, and even a glow in the dark toilet seat. The kitchen has everything, including top notch Le Creuset cookware. We enjoyed relaxing in the zero gravity chairs on the back deck. There's good Starlink internet, good water pressure in the shower, even a washer and dryer. In short, everything you could ask for in a vacation property."

"Our stay here was perfect. The house and location are amazing. The views are stunning and the amount of activities nearby are awesome. Our kids, 4 & 6 had an absolute blast. The house has a kids play room where they spent most of their inside time. Outside we would hang on the deck enjoying the view or go down to the dock and fish/swim or go to the beach (Rec1 was our favorite). Honestly don’t have one bad thing to say, we’re already planning our trip back next summer!"

"This house was an incredible find. My kids absolutely loved staying in the upstairs rooms. Check in was a breeze! The hot tub was a huge hit for the whole family. I was also glad to see they had toys for babies because i completely forgot to bring the ones i had packed for my little guy. It was so much fun grilling out on the deck while the kids played in the hot tub. The central a/c workes way too good! We will absolutely be coming back! And there is a beautiful beach just a short drive down the road"

"My husband, daughter, two dogs, and I had a wonderful visit. In all reality it was far too short, but we made the most of our time soaking up Burney Falls, Mt. Lassen, and the excellent cabin. While we enjoyed some meals in the well-equipped kitchen, we also traveled into Shingletown to Pioneer pizza and enjoy every slice of their food as well. Everything you could possibly need is located within the walls of the beautiful cabin and just outside lies an oasis. Not only can you hear Battle Creek running, but you can see it and walk down to it. These hosts are truly top notch and care about their guests. We will certainly be back!"
