"Rooms were refurbished to a high standard. Our room overlooked a very well maintained private garden by the river. Parking can be an issue but we got a place. Service and staff were very good at our dinner and breakfast. Our Trout dinner was fresh from the nursery close by. The full English breakfast was excellent."

"The menu was limited, expensive and some dishes were poor. The room “Brewery” was small, limited storage, no fridge, tired decor and UNBEARABLY HOT. However must commend the staff for working through the heatwave. Particular thanks goes to Courtney who was extremely helpful and friendly. In summary hotel should investigate the installation of air conditioning or the use of portable air conditioning units for the summer months.
