Mermaids Cove



Relax and unwind while at Mermaids Cove. This beautiful waterfront/beach cottage, located on Russell Island, Eleuthera.
Located a short drive from historic Spanish Wells, this cottage offers an easy interior layout with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , a spacious open living area and a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up a freshly caught meal. Enjoy the hues of the sparkling aqua water from the outdoor covered deck, which is equipped with a BBQ grill and an area for dining under the stars.

If you're looking to get away from it all in your private slice of heaven, then this is the place. "Sitting Mermaids Cove is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for an easy and beautiful vacation. The property itself has so much to offer including your own private beach and dock where you can spend the day bone fishing, exploring the waters on our kayaks, snorkeling or simply "chilling'" on the beach.

We can arrange excursions, boat rentals and anything else you need to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay at our home. We look forward to welcoming you!

There is also $150 cleaning fee to be paid on arrival.

Regretfully, due to the high increase of fuel in the islands, as of September 1, 2022, we will require an additional service fee for electricity of $11.00 per night. We will continue to absorb the relevant costs of electricity as we have done over the years. The service fee will assist in paying for the balance due to the increase(s). We are doing our best to keep costs at a minimum while you enjoy your vacation in Spanish Wells and thank you for choosing Mermaid’s Cove.

Highly recommend! Candia was incredibly accommodating—she took care of everything from reserving the golf cart to booking our ferry and taxi. We didn’t have to stress about a thing and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Mermaid Cove was spotless and very welcoming. The backyard is super peaceful and relaxing, and we especially loved spending time on the private beach. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great home on Russell Island

Great location. Comfortable & clean. Easy to check in and communication was excellent. House was stocked with everything you should need. Beautful views and just an incredible place overall. Definitely recommend Mermaids Cove!

Great Thanksgiving

We really enjoyed our time here. The house was just right for us and the private beach was awesome for the couple days we stayed in and did nothing. We loved kayaking in the calm waters around the house, grilling on the grill on the patio, playing cards in the evening, and simply disconnecting. The house has cable/satellite tv that we would watch a little of in the evenings and wifi that we tried to not connect to too often. Our kids loved the to hammocks in the backyard as well. Candida responded to every message sent via VRBO in a reasonable amount of time and once we were staying on the island we would reach out via the what's app and she again responded very fast. She set up our taxi to and from the airport, a place to rent a golf cart from to get around and her parents tour company for a day on the water feeding sea turtles, stingrays, snorkeling, and swimming with the pigs. This was our first trip to Spanish Wells and one we will definitely remember and probably do again.

first timers!

We had the absolute best time during out first visit to Spanish Wells/Russell Island. Candida made the whole process so easy starting with our taxi ride from the airport to the island. She also had someone waiting for us at the dock to transport our luggage to the house since we only had a golf cart. The private beach in the backyard was amazing, we snorkeled and took the kayaks out from there. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We all agreed that this was the only vacation we've been on where we wanted to immediately book for next year. Thanks again, Candida. We will be back!

2 weeks in Paradise

From the start of the booking to our arrival Candida was great...answering all of our questions and making arrangements from the airport to get us to the property seamlessly. The property was absolutely amazing with the most beautiful views imaginable. The cove was perfect for snorkeling or just floating in the water. We sat for many hours on the dock watching all types of fish, rays and sea life. Loved this property and can't wait to go back!

Looking forward to our stay

We’re looking forward to our future stay. The airlines canceled our flights for two days in a row, preventing us from making the trip at all. The host allowed us to move our reservation to a future date, rather than lose it. We’re so appreciative of the understanding and willingness to accommodate us. Bahamas Dream Babymoon

Mermaids Cove was the perfect home for our trip to the Bahamas. The home was stocked with all vacation and household necessities, especially the kitchen. We cooked many meals at home with the amazing view of the backyard/ocean! We snorkeled every evening around the rocks in the water, finding cork and fish and an old car in the water. The provided golf cart was wonderful! We will return again if we can!

Beautiful spot

My wife and I stayed at Mermaids Cove for the month of March and had a fantastic time. The small private beach and dock was great. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the golf cart that comes with the house gets you to wherever you want to go. Our property manager Candida was awesome. Always responds right away and took care of us. Thank you Candida! Your the best. Would I stay here again? Well, I’m already booked for next year 😎

Beautiful views!

We loved our time at this sweet waterfront cottage! The backyard and pier were favorite spots. The golf cart was invaluable for getting back and forth to restaurants and grocery. Loved our time in Spanish Wells!

We love island life

We loved this property! The view and easy access to the private beach area was the best. Our 2 year old son loved being able to wake up and go swimming. We snorkeled several days and saw lots of fish, a large ray, and even a barracuda. Candida is very easy to communicate with. The golf cart included with the rental was another plus!

A small slice of heaven

The property was fantastic, the small protected beach was awesome on some of the windier days. Candida the property manager was a huge help and has some great tips for the island. The island is a quiet less touristy island so perfect for relaxing. Would love to come back.

Simply Amazing

Darling Beach Home

We enjoyed our visit immensely. Russell Island is simply gorgeous. The little beach and snorkeling around the rocks there and then kayaking to see the wildlife was great. Additionally the golf cart was a great convenience. Two small comments which are easy fixes and would make the stay more comfortable. There was no Drinking water in the home. Simply providing a full 5 gallon jug and information where to get additional water would be so helpful. Secondly, a few extra rolls of toilet paper would be great. Visitors would appreciate not having to go to the store immediately after arriving. Instructions on where the market and the water filling station along with restaurant/bar recommendations for first time visitors would be helpful. We loved it and hope to be back soon!
