Staff was great, the room smelled really bad because of the stage system, the bed was really hard like a board, however the room was very clean and well kept, they respected my property in the room when they went in to clean, overall a great experience!

The location is very convenient and the staff was super friendly. I recommend staying here if you’re in a short stay. The rooms can be small so don’t share a room with more than 3 people.

Really good value for your money. My personal experience was pretty good. Those complaining about quality and amenities need to be reminded they are choosing savings over luxury. My room was spacious and comfortable enough, the only thing is I had poor WiFi, tho I must clarify I had to take zoom meeting calls in the room, all else was very good. The staff was friendly and all basics were covered, the AC worked fine which is important in Merida, lol. This place is at walking distance to Montejo, the main avenue in town, you can even walk all the way to downtown if you’re not too lazy, and is a very nice walk. You are also closer to the north, which is the modern part of town. There are a bunch of restaurants and a discreet Walmart store close by where you can almost always find taxis waiting during the day time, despite its proximity to all that, it was quiet in my room and the area seemed very safe. Again, this is really good value for your money, I would definitely stay there again!

Makeup Bag & Accessories ($1000) Stolen From Room

Even though the room was very very small, The stay was nice, the food was good and the staff we met were friendly … HOWEVER, someone took my wife’s Makeup Bag filled with expensive makeup , brushes and other accessories valued at over $1000 Canadian . This purple kit was the size of a bread loaf and hard not to see. The front staff first said they would look into it but later told us we must have lost if ourselves because the cleaning staff were very honest and trustworthy. Nice of them to take the side of dishonest staff members!! It didn’t walk away !

Location is fine. Neighborhood is not dangerous as another reviewer described it. Room was very clean. I had an issue when I came back on Christmas eve and found my room had flooded in my absence. I was very hungry and by the time I finished moving, almost every restaurant was closed and I had to settle for what I could get delivered from the handful of places that were still open. Not the worst thing in the world but most hotels would have offered some compensation for the experience. Just a breakfast voucher would have made me happy. But not this place. In general this is a hotel that caters to middle class Mexicans who I feel certain would have preferred that I stayed at one of the tourist hotels they were priced out of because of people who look like me. The staff was professional and extended minimum courtesy except for the bellhop, who was friendly and charming. Good value for the money. I understand where the attitude comes from. I've seen it elsewhere and agree with the sentiment to a large extent.

When I reserved and paid for my 5-night stat, I received a notification that I needed to call the hotel to reconfirm and provide my arrival time, which I did two days before arrival. I had noticed several reviews indicating guests were told upon arrival that they had no reservation, so I made sure to get the name of the staff member who ensured there would be no problem since the room was prepaid. However, when I arrived, the Front Desk clerk said he had no reservation for me, no room available and no other hotel where he could send me. It was 9pm and raining, and despite my explanations, his response was to tell me to call Orbitz and let them find me a room somewhere else. He also indicated his computer was down, so he'd couldn't help me further. He said he had one room that was assigned to someone whose arrival was pending, so he couldn't assign it to me even if I chose to pay for it and resolve the issue with Orbitz in the morning. Yet, after much back and forth, he miraculously found my reservation and assigned me a room, which he had said he didn't have. When I asked if this was the same room for the guest who was pending arrival, he indicated the guest had arrived so no need to worry. No guest had arrived in all the time I was in the lobby. He also didn't have me sign any registration form. So, I'm not sure if this was an attempted scam or sheer incompetence, but it left me unsettled.

Reservé un mes antes y el día de check in se supone que el sistema asignó otra habitación, lo cual dudo muchísimo, por la que no pagué y fue un downgrade. Ofrecieron desayuno pero el menú es súper básico, no limpian las mesas luego de levantar, no están al pendiente. Pésimo que mo me hayan informado antes para decidir si me quedaba o no y eso que me comuniqué por WhatsApp, ahí pudieron tener la amabilidad de decirme siquiera. Habitación muy promedio.

El servicio del personal no fue bueno, pedí en recepción apoyo con una toalla y nunca me la trajeron. Otro día pedí apoyo con papel de baño o kleenex y me dijeron que no tenían. Las instalaciones están limpias y bien, la alberca no se parece en nada a las fotos la verdad está descuidada y muy chica, y el servicio del personal dejó mucho que desear.

Hotel OK, algunas habitaciones huelen mal

El hotel es aceptable, la ubicación para mi era ideal. Sin embargo la primera noche noté un ligero olor a drenaje, en la tarde del segundo día el olor era insoportable y solicité cambio me habitación, en un inicio me dijeron que como no lo reporté en la mañana no podían hacer nada, insistí que el olor era insoportable y no había manera de permanecer en la habitación, y finalmente aceptaron moverme. Fue incómoda la situación
