"We chose the hottest days of the year to stay so the room was boiling, fortunately we took a fan with us but the owner also gave us another too. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs good shower but the toilet flush was slow, plenty of tea/coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Easy breakfast idea in dining room lots of choice (but no cooked) we knew b4 so never worried us. I thought it was good value for the money more than happy. Big bonus there was parking and 10 min walk...

"I thought the hotel was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. The property is run down. There was peeling paint in our room and rust in the loo and on the radiator. The other side of the hotel had a cool breeze but our room was small and stifling in the heat. The bathroom was tiny with an almost miniature hand basin. The pillows were hard. There were no amenities such as toiletries, not even a box of tissues. The staff were pleasant enough, but the hotel is priced like a luxury country house...

"The guest house was well-located and very clean. We had Room 5 which was on the second floor with a sea view - the only downside was that it was quite noisy until late at night with traffic/music. We'd probably opt for a rear-facing room next time, which over-looked the harbour. The room had everything we needed, although a fan would have been useful as it was very hot when we stayed. Breakfast was good quality and tasty, but the only option seemed to be a cooked breakfast - no cereals, fruit...

We especially appreciated being allowed to check in early, which made our arrival much more convenient. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short visit. "Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...

"A really lovely hotel ideally situated. Great rooms, very comfy beds. Breakfast was amazing so much choice. Johnathan and Karen were great hosts, very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Most definitely stay there again."

"Stayed here as needed to stay in or around Weymouth. Quite frankly, the fee paid for the room was poor value. The hotel was clean, but dated. The rooms need renewing. That said, all the hotels in Weymouth were extremely expensive so it wasn’t anymore than any of the others, which is why I ended up staying here anyway… not sure if there was an event or something in the area at that time pushing up prices…"

"Lovely location. Friendly welcoming staff. Great guest experience from all members of staff. Fabulous food and beverages. Would definitely stay there again. Negatives if I'm being picky: We had to ask for sugar at breakfast every day and butter once. Trivial compared to the overall experience."
